Ok..so..I got a note from a guy in another site this morning..he asked me where I'm from..when I tell him his response is "Oh cool..I am home alone..wanna CUM over?"..to which I wrote back "Um..no thank you"..lol.What is it with people..why do they think that they can change a person?..LOL.My profiles give NO indication that I am just on these things looking for booty or that I am willing to be that for anyone else..What makes a person think that they can just change someone else..Why waste time writing someone who is clearly searching for something that you aren't?!?!?!

It's a damn good question.

I think a lot (and I really, really do mean A LOT) of people on the internet are so socially stunted that base-level idiocy is the best they can do. All you have to do is compare the number of forum topics that have any intellectual value vs. the number that either start out as, or degenerate into, third-grade "pee pee" and "poo poo" jokes. There's a disproportionate leaning toward the latter.

As for "Why waste time writing someone who is clearly searching for something that you aren't?" -- well, those are the only ones who write to me. And they try to tell me why I'm wrong, and why I should change my entire belief system and value system just so I can have them and their 3 kids (AND THEY ARE MY WORLD!) in my life.

The world is full of morons.

It's not much of an answer but it's all I've got.

I'm not sure that it's a matter of change as it is a matter of honesty. I tend to think people who are looking for honesty are truly looking only for favorable honesty. This dude was honest, he showed you who he really was, I think he should get points for that. As for disregarding your profile? I think he just took a chance that YOU may be the one lying (not in anyway implying that you are, myself), ya know? When we put our hooks in the water, anything is liable to bite, don't get upset, just throw 'em back.

Any points he's given for honesty he loses for lacking class.. WHY in the world would he think she's lying? If someone says they're not looking for an intimate encounter then I'm thinking THEY'RE NOT... If someone IS then they should be searching for "like" profiles.. He's a pig pure and simple...

Gene Simmons once told me "if you line up 20 women against that wall and asked each one of them if they would go home with you, one of them will say yes." He's lining the women up is all.

Well Gene should look for a different kind of woman..ones that he doesn't have to ask that question to..ones who just tell him "Thats not me" as my profile did..lol.

I get what Bored is saying... I've heard that about dating.. My guy friends tell me that some guys will ask many different women to go out with them b/c at some point one will say yes so they don't mind rejection in the end...

I apologize but, I had to laugh. I was on another site yesterday and I posted, "I'm bored." Apparently in todays modern slang this translates into, "OMG! I need cybersex right now!!" (Which, I was completely unaware of). My mailbox was inundated with sexual emails from all over the dang world. (Grr!)

So, perhaps there was something on your profile that was being translated with the new 'modern slang' dictionary? Or, maybe he was using the older version...the one that says, "No means yes." (lol)

i get ones that literally tell me off for not being on a dating site to date. one of them told me i needed to take my meds...

it's as if they are offended that i don't wish to be with them.

i just take them with a grain of salt.

I get that as well but more about my expectations if someone is to email me i.e. don't call me honey, sweetie, sexy, etc and have a pic.. Apparently I'm a biatch or they hate my profile and feel the need to email me to inform me.. Usually I'll reply in a manner that they know they've been told a thing or two but what I've found is a lot will send me a nasty email and then block me so I can't respond.. Wussies!!!laugh
