What is it about Christmas we all like or love,,I would say enjoying seeing my daughters eyes light up like the North Star when she is there on the floor opening gifts,,the joy of family friends,and knowing I lived another year to see the joyest day of the year..So what your thought on Christmas,,

I love the spirit of giving in the air...being close to my family and friends. I also love finding that "just right" gift for someone where I can hardly wait for them to open it!

Love turning the lights down low, snuggling on the couch with hot chocolate and watching the lights on the Christmas tree.

One of my favorite times of year!!!

The fact that there are those that give up so much for others they don't and will never know.........

I like the feeling that it gives me. It's like when you go for a long trip and come back home. Things seem different and new.

i think the giving and presents is more for the kids.
once you get older then you just like it for time spent with family.
i also really appreciate the endless amounts of food.
and the smell of christmas trees is amazing.

I get to break out all the Christmas horror movies.

I love Christmas most everyone around the USA are happy!

Hummm I like to see the faces of the kids as they open their gifts. The ideal we are all together for another year..... Knowing I have lived to see my kids and granddaughter enjoy life another year....

Love having my family around and watching the little kids enjoy thier gifts.

Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhh and I loveeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee to see all the houses that are decorated............pretty lights....

Me too mostly. Just can't get into it the way I used to.

To top of all the other reasons the store where I work is open till 8pm after hearing for weeks that we close early on xmas...well ok it is 2 hours early but what the heck! There is a sign up sheet for which 4 hour shift you want to work. I was the first person to sign up for the noon to 4 shift. I better get it too!! I really need to find a job I hate less, it sure isn't helping my holiday spirit!!

I do enjoy the lights.

Just another day for me....

The beauty of Christmas is inside ourselves;

how we acknowledge and display...the reason

for the season.

Christmas is expressed in an array of gestures:

- broadcasting beautiful classic Christmas songs

descriptive of the birth of Christ and the joy of sharing.

Sharing that day with loved ones, home-comings,

(wonderful surprises) gift-giving, thankful smiles, hugs,

kisses, etc.

When Christ is left out of His own Birthday celebration,

the day becomes worldly and mechanical.

I am happy when Christmas is all over. I really hate this time of year; its depressing for the poor and homeless as well as high rates of sucide. Think about that while you are making merry.

A lot of folks do think about that while "making merry".

I for one feel that making an extra effort to help those less fortunate this time of year is part of it. I'm sure most decent folks feel the same...

The anticipation on the eyes of the children. Watching them ripping to shreds the beautiful decorated packages to find the gift. The beautiful tree all decorated with ornaments and the residents trying to eat the ornaments. Watching their faces as they totally destroy what use to be something that was wonderful and took hours to prepare. And the relief that comes after, "Thank God, that is over." What a wonderful and awesome feeling.

Ah, if only that were true and this heart felt sentiment was felt all year long. Contrary to what many think; people need food and clothing all year long; not just at Christmas. Helping one month a year isn't enough.
