Know that I do not think of your sick body, so much as your strong mind and unbreakable spirit. That is the Mikey when I think about you every day that enjoy. Today as I cruised down PCH and went past Point Mugu and thought myself how fortunate I was to have that freedom. That as a woman, I could just pick up and drive and see California's bounty. And I thought of you and in my head went "Thanks Mikey" because you served our country well in the military and its because of you that I can do that. The Pacific is gorgeous today by the way, Mikey. You would have loved it.

You know how I am. I do not shed tears for the living. I went for another amazing drive. This time up to Buellton. When I see the beauty of where I live and think about life, I really do think of you my friend. I think about how much life means to you and how much you embrace it. I think of you and the animals when I look at Darcy and Vinnie and all the loving stories you have told me about yours and the ones at the shelter. I celebrate life as you do.
