I prefer to date a handsome guy infact if a good looking guy approach me for the first time I like to listen specially if he is tall. But if he has no character i will run away. Good character is very important to me when it comes to relationship. I will completely give my heart to a handsome guy if see some good qualities in him. Sorry to say I don't like ugly guys no matter the good qualities I see in them although some ugly guys are exceptionally good in that case I can fall inlove with such guy.

I remember in High School, there was this really
good-looking guy that all the girls drooled over.
I was very impressed when he asked me out.
Oh man.

He kept fidgeting with the car mirrors so he could
check himself out.
Every time we passed a mirror, I was walking alone
as he had to pause and..shake his hair.
And dumb as a rock.

To this day I am highly suspicious of killer looks,
I always assume that is all there is.
Rarely wrong.
Character is everything.

With all due respect, from your writing it seems that you are undecided about who you want.
This is for Minemine

I agree with Soufie that character is everything. I won't give a good looking man the time of day as they usually lack personality. A friend of mine is 58, a few wrinkles, doesn't have the perfect body, and balding but he has the most fantastic personality ever.

I applaud you!! You are right. Character is decisive. There is a saying in our language that states it. It doesnt give much sense when translated into english since it is associated with our culture. Here goes-you watered my intestine with butter

Exactly the same thing is often said about beautiful women. They rely on their looks because that's what other people praise them for and value. "Character" is not something you are just born with and most "dumb" people merely lack confidence.

happy M&M is doing OK. Not sure, but I think she is saying, she likes it when a good looking man flirts with her. We all like attractive people paying us attention. The filtering for a good inner beauty has to start somewhere. It's if you are mean or disrespectful to an 'uggy' or in my case, 'oldie' that is the no-no, and reveals the bad character within.

Julia Roberts married Lyly Lovett didn't she?

He was voted ugliest man, but I don't see it.

I prefer someone with a fantastic personality with good character, someone who is personable, to me this is worth more than someone with good looks. It has been my experience that most good looking people are shallow, empty, and usually narcissistic.
