SS CARDS ARE FREE!

YOU, I, THEY, DON'T PAY ONE NICKEL FOR THEM.

Name a town. I'll show ya where the nearest SS office is.

Rational and honest folks see through the excuses.

no kidding? but the id and birth certificate required for the card do cost money

the 'nearest' office for many can be several hours away,,,,and that's just the ss office, not to mention getting a birth certificate or an id card,, which are two OTHER locations

like I said,, undue hardship to put people through for a 'right'

There isn't an election every week.

If you can't make it to a motor vehicle office within 2 years then that isnt a hardship its an EXCUSE..

well, I guess your minds are made up,, not big hardship to yall,, so no big hardship period,,,

Well, I guess your mind is made up, fraud is not a big deal to yall, so no big fraud period..

Voter fraud is a huge deal to me and I think everything that can be done to prevent it should be done...Voter ID is an excellent place to start in spite of the fact that it will disenfranchise some voters because a fair election process should always be the primary consideration...Besides, I'm sure liberal pressure will result in "give me's" for those who "honestly" can't afford to obtain valid ID...As for those wrongly or unfairly convicted, two wrongs don't make a right.....

Research commissioned by the Pew Center on the States highlights the extent of the challenge:

Approximately 24 million—one of every eight—voter registrations in the United States are no longer valid or are significantly inaccurate.

More than 1.8 million deceased individuals are listed as voters.

Approximately 2.75 million people have registrations in more than one state.

Meanwhile, researchers estimate at least 51 million eligible U.S. citizens are unregistered, or more than 24 percent of the eligible population.

I'd say that white farmers living out in the rural areas have much further to travel then inner city folk that live close to govt buildings. But guess that goes against the perception some people would like you to believe.

I agree, farmers are in there too,,,

farmers, elderly, those in rural areas, those in impoverished areas,,,,all unduly impacted by these requirements,,,

voter fraud is not something that will be preventable,,,state id can be fraudulent too,,,,

voter fraud is not a good thing,, but disenfranchising 100s of thousands to try to eek out a few hundred is even worse,,,

not to mention, MOST of the voter fraud is committed by workers, nd not voters,,,so the effort is also misdirected
