I didn't introduce the idea, and I don't believe in 'complete integration' so Im asking those who brought up the idea of 'complete integration',, or who think the suggestions in threads over the past week are just 'reopening' a wound or who are full of answers about what and who the problems are what are their suggestions to fix the problems/ achieve 'full integration' Well, like I said in my last (serious) post...As long as there is hate on both sides there will never be "adequate" integration...I have always maintained and do agree with Will, Soul, Allie, and many others that the solution must start at home...And if parents of school age children want pronounced changes in curriculum, they need to start that process, not just talk about it... I Agree parents are a part of the solution, but what of the generation of parents who themselves aren't equipped with the skills or the model to emulate and pass down? Well, believe it or not I do think about that and this is what I think...Those blacks who are unable to secure work through NO identifiable fault of their own should qualify for government assistance in the form of training and basic needs ONLY with the understanding that the assistance must be paid back in time served working...Any training assistance should be a one time deal only and only for the head of household...Sort of like ROTC is structured for college students...Same for those blacks who are parents without parenting skills...The first step, before any assistance is given, should be agreeing to have a tubal ligation or vasectomy....Second is a plan to reimburse for the assistance provided in the form of proper parenting...Nutritional needs, educational needs, hygiene, the whole nine yards...and if these rehabbed parents fail, they lose their kids....Anyone who asks for and accepts help must also accept that it will come at a price...As for the gang bangers, you blacks need to start turning them in, policing you own neighborhoods, sending a message that killing, drugging, raping in your communities is NOT acceptable....You need to come together first.... |

 and I would be concerned with who would decide who qualifies for such drastic measurements,,,, if simply needing assistance would be equated to not having parenting skills,,, or justify sexual castration,,,, I think that would be dangerous and missing the point,,, |

You don't want answers or you would come up with suggestions that didn't favor your race over the whole of the minority spectrum. You can't lift one without lifting ALL or there is division.....and that is what you offer so when there are womens advocates, are they useless for not offering the upliftment of 'men'? when there are veterans advocates, are they useless for not offering the upliftment of non vets? there are certainly enough people that they can start by choosing smaller causes that speak most directly to their experiences I do believe this post was even about a young persons group that didn't single out any race so why is it any more problematic for me to talk about 'blacks' than for others to speak about women or vets or any other of the smaller groups that make up America? so why are my,,,,,,,nevermind Anything that does not support the whole of society will give us what we have today. Women are a class, not a race. Minorities are a class, not a race. Gays are a class, not a race Until you learn the difference you will never understand race is also a class, whether its offensive to aknowledge or not Once again you show your....... Race is not a class of people, it is a race of people. BIG difference! |

I don't want to allow anyone that authority The parents asking for help make the decision... yeah, that's what I cant get behind the idea that needing assistance will mean you cant parent,,,, the flip is insinuating that money is the determinant of a worthy parent,,,or those with money are therefore capable of parenting there are spoiled and ill prepared in all income brackets when it comes to kids I think the paying back is sufficient enough without further stigmatizing individuals as somehow being bad parents or undeserving of the opportunity to parent in the future,,, |
