It's a tool extremists separatists use to keep us hating on da white man. There are poor folks of all races. Why the ADDICTION to race specific causes?

Folks, the purpose of Black History Month is to fill in the gaps that exist in the telling of American history. Like it or not, the accomplishments of black Americans were often left out of the books about American history. What Black History Month does is provide balance to the telling of American history. Now, if American History books have been corrected to include the accomplishments of black Americans, then I can see why people would think that Black History Month has outlived its purpose. why? black history is just as misrepresented as white history... whats the point? to teach more lies? More like just maintaining the victim image. Can't let it heal.

Like it or not, the accomplishments of black Americans were often left out of the books about American history. What Black History Month does is provide balance to the telling of American history. Now, if American History books have been corrected to include the accomplishments of black Americans, then I can see why people would think that Black History Month has outlived its purpose. why? black history is just as misrepresented as white history... whats the point? to teach more lies? to teach 'value' of people, beyond their value as slaves and workers,,, "Value" of people, most people represent their true value, mainly worthless and irresponsible. And as history has demonstrated, their is no "beyond" slaves for that infamous 47%.

They are a member of society or at least the product of society. Maybe that is the problem, society. What if we just refuse to belong, don't know, works for me.

I find Black History Month to be harmless yet educational. So what you are implying is that it is ok to maintain a racist environment that categorizes everything by their racist labels. Are we to believe that instead of a country of many diverse ethic backgrounds evolving together as citizens of these united States, we should identify as victims of ethic prejudice. Absolutely there is no harm in divide and conquer. Don't add to the sum total but divide into the ethic pools that subtract from what used to be a great country, the country of the Odumboites.

keep enjoying your privilege grownups had come to an agreement already,, Where are the grownups and what agreement would that be. What I see in these postings are those that are in left field, the Odumbo worshipers and those that have awaken to the value of themselves. Of course this concept would be totally foreign to the large majority of the people. But if you care to recognize who is who, those that can will and those that can't never will.

oops, was that personal? sorry mods! black history month hurts no one for those who oppose it being taught in schools, I suggest working to get the 'american' history books updated to include historical blacks in EVERY month I wouldn't object to it, don't know anyone who would Well I for one would. If we are to recognize them because they are black, then they aren't worth recognizing. But for the likes of George Washington Carver or Martin Luther King whom are recognized as men of vision, then they are worthy of mentioning. But of course Odumbo will go into the history books as even a bigger unqualified idiot than Jimmy Carter to be considered as a president of a once great nation. But what I would really relish seeing is Odumbo portrayed as the first United States president hung for the traitorous acts he committed. Too bad he pardoned Bush or they could of hung together.
