Types that should not be allowed to breed or have anything to do with children.

relevant to boycotting black history month because?????????

If you have to ask, you will never understand the answer.

It appears to me that you didn't answer her because you don't have a good answer. indifferent

If you have to ask, you will never understand the answer. Seems self explanatory, it's my time and I refuse to waste it.

lol@ self explanatory

the explanation seems to be that the person posting thinks some people shouldn't have kids

but WHAT That has to do with whether black history month should be boycotted is not so 'self explanatory',,,

imagine if someone posted about boycotting the senate and I posted articles about women killing their babies

what would the connetion be between parentworthiness and a (majority white} senate?

It all comes back to that infamous phenomena....

Happens when a thread moves forward, but there is always someone that wants to take it back in a circle, ceasing all forward movement.

Seems to happen to those incapable of following along, so there natural tendency is to return to a point they feel comfortable and wants everyone to go along, another phenomena...

I didn't introduce the idea,

and I don't believe in 'complete integration'

so Im asking those who brought up the idea of 'complete integration',,

or who think the suggestions in threads over the past week are just 'reopening' a wound

or who are full of answers about what and who the problems are

what are their suggestions to fix the problems/ achieve 'full integration'

Well, like I said in my last (serious) post...As long as there is hate on both sides there will never be "adequate" integration...I have always maintained and do agree with Will, Soul, Allie, and many others that the solution must start at home...And if parents of school age children want pronounced changes in curriculum, they need to start that process, not just talk about it...

I Agree

parents are a part of the solution, but what of the generation of parents who themselves aren't equipped with the skills or the model to emulate and pass down?

Well, believe it or not I do think about that and this is what I think...Those blacks who are unable to secure work through NO identifiable fault of their own should qualify for government assistance in the form of training and basic needs ONLY with the understanding that the assistance must be paid back in time served working...Any training assistance should be a one time deal only and only for the head of household...Sort of like ROTC is structured for college students...Same for those blacks who are parents without parenting skills...The first step, before any assistance is given, should be agreeing to have a tubal ligation or vasectomy....Second is a plan to reimburse for the assistance provided in the form of proper parenting...Nutritional needs, educational needs, hygiene, the whole nine yards...and if these rehabbed parents fail, they lose their kids....Anyone who asks for and accepts help must also accept that it will come at a price...As for the gang bangers, you blacks need to start turning them in, policing you own neighborhoods, sending a message that killing, drugging, raping in your communities is NOT acceptable....You need to come together first....

Again you are just too nice. If anyone, irrespective of race, is not willing to help themselves, why should another help. Now I'm all for helping them up and helping to get dusted off but they need to participate. Otherwise let them rot in the gutter.

But the issue here is not that, but why the blacks are special and shouldn't have to do anything, you know....

why assume anyone was posting about anyone 'not willing to help themselves;?

and who has proposed that blacks 'shouldn't have to do anything'?

Let me see........

YOU?

lets see

question. why assume anyone was posting about 'anyone not willing to help themselves'?

Answer. YOU

yeah,, still doesn't make sense,,,

question. who has proposed that blacks 'shouldn't have to do anything'

YOU.

no, I haven't ever posted that blacks 'shouldn't have to do anything'

Absolutely correct, I posted the words but as a transcript of the sentiment you posted. Insinuations are but the cowards way of dodging responsibility.

Circle, no beginning, no end. Now where is that, other than you asking to repeat everything to get back to this point?

relevant to boycotting black history month because?????????

Because, 4 out those 7 photos represent Black History.

The other three are prime examples for the argument of selective breeding.

Take that back. All seven are prime examples for the argument of selective breeding.

black history month doesn't celebrate breeding choices
anymore than American history celebrates enslavement and bloodshed of non americans by americans

but its interesting to see what 'imagery' people associate with black folks,,,

non racists that those people are

No need for patronizing.

I see.
I don't deny.
I believe in personal responsibility.

msharmony isn't patronizing.
Instead, she is calling out the flawed use of the images..

Like she said, the use of crack cocaine isn't specific to black Americans. So, you are promoting a false negative stereotype.

And that would be just your opinion and we all know about opinions, don't we?

So to make things fair, let's pretend this is a democracy as you promote, and....

Oh, I forgot, must have a conclusion here or some get confused....

THE IS VOTE WINS.

Sorry but to get the votes counted on time and reported in a timely fashion, the polls have closed.

I fought and bled for equal rights, liberty, and justice for all....

Some seem to think they are owed more.... I happen to disagree.

Black history (in the US) is part of American history. It should be studied long and hard, but no more so than our history in general.

Some don't seem to care about history focusing on the future, disregarding the failures of the past, and call it progress.

Others wish to drag us into the past. Division is NOT progress!

They seek to ignore the fundamental principals that made us great, the rights of the individual.

Claiming special privilege to race, based on sins of a past generation in the learning process of a new nation.... is not only stupidity, it is destructive ignorance most (thankfully) have risen above.

We're all in this together! Choosing to believe one race of an entire diversified population such as ours deserves more, or special treatment over another..... that's arrogance, not progress, division, not unity.

One bad apple can spoil the whole barrel if it is not removed. We are guaranteed equal rights for ALL, NOT some more than others!

Thinking otherwise is part of the problem, NOT the solution!

I think it has always been a challenge in the US to continue to honor and value our diversity while uniting as one. We are truly a melting pot...to a much greater degree than any other country that I can think of. That is something to be very proud of. But it comes with a challenge; the same challenge that immigrants have accepted since we started coming here to settle (vs mercantile purposes) in the 15th century (or before).

How do I maintain my identity and fit in? At the same time? Without offending others or seeming exclusionary? all difficult questions.

I share my cultural home with those who are interested. I practice my culture at home and respect and willingly learn the culture of the status quo when I participate in society and government. I respect the home cultures of others.

Black History month is the sharing of a home culture. Let's respect that. Perhaps others need advocates to promote and share additional home cultures.

I would like participate in Irish American events, and German American events. But I also enjoy Asian and Greek restaurants and Native American stories and husbandry. None of those has a whole month devoted to it, but has anyone asked? Realistically we probably do not have enough months in the year to promote all home cultures found in the US. Why moan because a black man achieved Black History month. Rather honor his achievement. If this is so important to the young lady in the OP perhaps she will use her noteriety to start a Native American History month...or w/e.. I don;t think Black History month has outlived it's purpose, but rather made us all aware that our ancestry is interesting and important.

Black history can't be American history or more specifically these united States history. These united States are composed of a vast mix of different cultures and ethnicities all melded into one. Now if it is separated, it is no longer a part of the whole, but is attempting to distinguish itself as a separate entity.

You can have one or you can have the other, but not both. That is the whole problem with this argument, some wish to have their cookie and eat it too. The only way to accomplish that is to steal from another. Division of the whole and claiming unification, just as dishonest as stealing.

yeah, that's why 8/10 threads in these forums with black people as a topic are started by the same one or two people

NEITHER OF WHICH IS ME

if I am obsessed by responding, certainly those who initiate are equally (or more) 'obessessed'
