Some of my foreign friends says i am nice to keep or date but i discoverd they fears me somehow when i said i am from africa(Nigeria).I can't lie or hide my identity later i said the truth.The question is: Do you believe all blacks are fake?

.. I do not believe it's a question of skin color.. it is one more of. origin perhaps.. or more to the point. social standing.. please do not get this wrong.. but I am sure you know as well as I do. that a lot of let's say. not so good intended.
. fellow men from your country.. pray. on others.. so it becomes a question of.. painting everyone with the same brush so to speak. . I am very guilty of this myself. often I receive messages from women. from your part of the world. who seem very nice. but again.. when five previous messages. . from. people posing. to just want to chat and make friends. turn out to be. scammers shall we say. then it makes it hard. to accept the six message. as legit.. . so to answer your question.. it has nothing to do with color.. more to do with.. the persons intent..ok..  .

I'm not going to be as nice as some who answered your question. My answer to your question about fakes from your country is YES. We don't owe you an explanation as to why we feel this way.

Most scammers from Nigeria do not have profile of black men but mostly of US or UK white men using stolen pictures. They like military or construction profiles so that they can justify why they're not home. They usually are not able to talk on the phone coz they don't want you to hear their african accent, or they say they were raised in a foreign country to justify a foreign accent. You can not see them on a webcam. They also are always widowed with one kid, don't really know why for that one (widowed), I guess it is to justify why they will ask you for money later. They are supposed to like soccer - which is unusual for an american - and are said catholic - same comment. They have a lovely presentation with endless words of love, but when you chat with them they talk like teenagers...Meaning they also steal the words they use for their profile!There are a few scammers on this site indeed, look at the military pictures.So if you have an african profile and you post a picture of a black man, I don't think you are a scammer yourself ! I don't believe that everyone from your Country is fake.
What I do belive is that some, and I did say some, are actually looking for a passport and an easy life in another Country. |

I don't think it's only from African countries that are scammers. I agree with French kitten that people impersonate military or construction workers, claiming to be from the U.S..
But they don't understand simple American style of wording ideas or they either don't know much about the town they claim to be in or suppose you've never been there. Had a guy tell me he's in Washington D.C.. I asked him something about the area and he had no clue. |

there are 1000's of ways for the scammers to tweak their con....but eventually it all boils down to them having to ask you for money...if anyone is so foolish to send money to someone they have never met, then i suppose they deserve to get taken for a ride....scammers come in all shapes, sizes, colors, sexes and nationalities...some look for the quick hit, some will work the mark for months...they all have one common denominator.... your money....whenever they get around to asking for it, just say NO..

Good luck ! MIRACLEHOUR... FRENCHKITTEN has said it best.. There is a HUGE number of Nigerian fraud scams going on right now all over the USA & Canada.. They are attacking and spamming email boxes, ad posts, apartment classifieds.. and many other things.. (probably connected to the dark spirits that kidnapped those children.. and slaughter people in neighboring countries there..) Unfortunately.., we tend to live in a world where most people group others into categories, when they hear a familiar word, see a certain look, etc.. etc.. etc... Sometimes it's conscience.. and other times it's unconscience association.. Be yourself, keep speaking the truth.. and believe that a smart person will take the time to give you a chance to get to know you, before forming an opinion.. |

Your profile says NY, yet you sound like some redneck from a southern state.., who had little education..? So I guess your opinion isn't really valid in this subject, because you are obviously prejudiced.., or you would have never put that on your profile.. The only thing I would add to this is, because the situation is what it is, there is more pressure on legit profile owners to make their first contact move count...In other words, several "candid" pics, a complete profile with enough personal info to give reader a bird's eye view into the life of that person, solid language skills...It doesn't seem fair I know, but it is what it is and the problem doesn't stem from race barriers, it stems from economic need.... |

I like to give people the benefit of the doubt, before I form an opinion of them. Sure I've had my fair share of spam. Yet if you speak to africans from the forums, you can tell they just want to be around others. The one's who talk in the forums are less likely to scam anyone. As they're regulars.

I think being fake has much to do with intent and perhaps an agenda. Not all people have intent or agenda's that lean toward the bad side of things. I believe this to be true no matter what race you are or where you are living in the world.

Not all natives of Africa are Black, and plenty of Black people have never been on the African continent. |
