I wouldn't cheat in the first place.

If I am in a satisfying and happy relationship, there would be no cheating... If it was a bad relationship I would probably leave first, then do my own thing... I don't think I am wired to 'cheat'..the guilt would get me down too much and I couldn't live that way..

If you cheated on your lover how would you tell them?

what
Why would anyone who cheats, tell their partner?

What happens there in the Philippines? Do women cheat & confess ?

Well ..I would imagine if you're telling them !..you would probably be feeling guilty about your infidelity...which would suggest, that your relationship isn't all that bad and you have just made a poor decision .. perhaps one in the heat of the moment... or perhaps ,you are not truly in the type of relationship you desire.... but if you're anything like me! you would have to closely analyze why you did what you did... was it purely lust driven.. or are you not receiving something in your current relationship that you apparently need.... you should go sit down somewhere, and take a good hard honest look at yourself and your relationship. before you say anything to anyone....

I have always worked from the premise that telling someone you have cheated on them is just another self centered act and means nothing about their remorse of desire to make amends or re-commitment. It is about trying to escape their own guilt and or consequences for a choice they made.

No one accidently cheats. At some point there is a conscious choice to cross the line and it is usually a direct act that the cheater knows is wrong and does not care.

Someone with true commitment would not cheat in the first place.

Someone with true remorse would accept that they have lost all right to the relationship and end it taking full responsibility for it being their choice to end it.

Telling a partner that you have betrayed them is just rubbing salt in the wound and is another cruelty.

The only exception is where cheating includes sexual contact and or other safety issues and you have jeopardized the partner. Then it is in their best interest to know only the facts.

Do cheaters confess? Aarrggghhh! I don't think they do!!! They are good liars that's why they cheat and they will never admit they have done something wrong. They will only admit if they were caught in the act or if you have shown evidences or proven facts that they cheated and once cornered, only then they admit the truth.

I don't think I could cheat my partner, why cheat if you could just tell your partner honestly if your not satisfied with your relationship then get out, no need to cheat and hurt each other or mess up your life with guilt.

For me when I am with someone I don't even look at anyone else because I am devoted to him.
I think of ways to show my love that he would like not think of ways to hurt him.

My morals are to high for that.
If I knew someone was cheating I would give them an opportunity to confess or I would open my mouth and shout it out.
I hate it when people do that to others.
Things have a way of coming out.

If you cheated on your lover how would you tell them?

Depends on why I cheated.

I mean sitting here staring at the computer screen not having cheated on anyone it's difficult to put myself in that position.

Why did I cheat?

- Is it normal for my personality? Do I just sabotage relationships this way? Do I just have huge amounts of testosterone coursing through me and I dry hump the couch every night and can't keep from touching myself at all times?

- Because they said so? Were we dating for a week, and I slept with a FWB, or one night stand, and my lover thought we were legally bound because we went on 3 dates?

- Did communication in the relationship suck the entire relationship? And now 7 years later they put on 200 lbs, let themselves go, do nothing but browbeat me and spend all the money I bring home on pay per view chippendales porn?

- Did I let myself go and find they are completely disgusted with me, won't touch me, belittle me, and I find comfort and validation in someone else?

- Did I always want kids and they went through menopause and I'm trying to knock someone else up because I want kids so bad?

- Am I an alcoholic and one night I just got trashed and banged some bar fly?

- Were we on a "break" and I thought we were broken up?

- Was the cheating me having cyber sex with some stranger on the internet that could be a dude with a fake photo? A 900 number?

- Is it my ex and we were "just friends" and went to dinner one night to "catch up" and "it just happened?"

If I'm going to tell them, how I tell them is going to be dependent on a lot of things, like why I cheated on them.
