Few steps to forget online love?

1. Realize online love is not actually a relationship, its a virtual relationship until you actually meet that person and develop love between you.

2. Realize love is felt within and is entirely personal. You demonstrate the love you feel to another thru communication and deeds. The other demonstrates the love they feel towards you thru communication and deeds. One person does not a relationship make.

3. Realize relationships are complicated. They require at least two agreeable parties, in person, with the same agenda. Online relationships are fantasies and fantasies fade with time with no real world reinforcement.

Many people have misconceptions about Online Dating.
Online Dating is not the end result but the beginning of a relationship.
Its used to find a potentially matching partner.
The actual relationship starts when you meet in real life (See, Hear, Touch, Taste, Feel).
Till then, its like falling in love with a concept, an idea of a person.

FTL - Faster Than Light travel is science fiction.
Moving thru wormholes is science fiction.
Time travel from one destination to another time in the distant past or future is science fiction.

Quantum entanglement is a theory and quantumly only information has been sent.
In the quantum world, teleportation involves the transportation of information, rather than the transportation of matter.

FTL travel is limited by mass. Massless energy can and does move faster than light.

objects with mass cannot ever reach the speed of light. If an object ever did reach the speed of light, its mass would become infinite. And as a result, the energy required to move the object would also become infinite: an impossibility.

With billions on the planet

Billions is only significant to us.
There could be civilizations with billions of planets and trillions of lifeforms.
Our species is barely 2 million years old and only been scientifically cultured for less than 20,000 years.
There could be civilizations which are 500 millions of years established or more.
The Universe is a REALLY big and old place!

Movies are just movies, they are entertainment.
or, do you believe when a car wrecks and flips over it always blows up?

Well, OK, I haven't heard anyone (yet) saying that "the virus spread at 25 MPH". Ha ha ha.

Well, if you think about it...
Viruses have what is called a transmission rate which is subject to population density and proximity.
So the virus does travel from host to host but at different speeds.
In dense areas (cities, schools, ships, etc...) the virus spreads faster than sparse areas (rural, farms, isolated areas, etc...)

Plus, some viruses have faster transmission rates than others.

Even though the Earth may be rotating

Actually, the Earth not only rotates, it wobbles and the tectonic places constantly move.

So, technically, even when you are in your bed fast asleep...you are traveling (moving). About the speed of the growth of a fingernail.
They move at a rate of one to two inches (three to five centimeters) per year.

Simple question:- "What is the fastest speed that you have ever travelled?"

What if I told you that I knew the correct answer before you said anything?

Better still, what if I told you that the fastest speed you had ever travelled at was "approximately 64,000" Miles Per Hour (or 18 Miles Per Second). You would probably laugh your head off.

IT IS TRUE. The earth travels at approximately 64000 MPH.

Simple geometry. The sun is at the centre of the earth's orbit. The sun is aproximately 93 million miles away from earth. So the diameter of the earth's orbit is 186 million miles. Using the formula Pi times D where D is the diameter of the circle (orbit) and Pi is valued at 22/7 (or approximately 3) So roughly the earth travels 558 million miles in one year. Divide by 365 gives 1.529 million miles in one day. Divide again this time by 24 to find out how far the earth travels in one hour = Roughly 64,000 MPH

Isn't mathematics wonderful.

You miss the 'actual' by quite a bit.
Not only is the Earth rotating and revolving around the Sun, the Sun is moving thru the Orion Arm of the Milky Way, the Milky Way is rotating and moving as a downward spiral to Sagittarius A (the Milky Way's Black Hole at its center).
The Milky Way is also orbiting within the Local Group and the Local Group is both spinning and orbiting within the Virgo Galactic Supercluster which is in turn spinning and orbiting within the Universe (string motion).
The Universe itself is currently expanding as well.

Then to really mess with your calculator consider quantum entanglement and atomic distances at a relative scale. Plus, don't forget thermodynamics related to matter in space-time.
Heat = Movement = Time

Considering the vast scope of the Milky Way and the on a much larger scale, the Universe, our tiny planet and our insignificant civilization are just momentary pinpricks which would be of no interest to any civilization able to come here.

Then there is the sparsity of our local domain inwhich any of our transmissions/signals have had time to reach.
The first transmission was made in 1895. At the speed of light, it has reached about 200 light-years. Within 200ly there is no evidence of any advanced civilization. No evidence but we don't know, there may be civilizations but they are not advanced enough or willing/stupid enough to transmit.

But, let's say something/someone hears us/detects our signal.
If the speed of light is the Universal speedlimit, even if they have technology which allows them to travel at the speed of light(c) its still going to take them over 200 years to get here. But, if they can travel at c, why would they come HERE? What do we have to offer such a civilization which has the technology for light speed travel? What do we offer that they can't find closer, with less travel time?

People like to think we are special, unique in the Universe. The Universe is so huge, we may be a dime a dozen with absolutely NOTHING to make traveling such long distances worth the trip.
Would you travel half way around the planet for a shoe string? Does a single mosquito on the other side of the world threaten you?
Even using us as slaves or force labor make no sense because the human body is not super strong, we are not super smart, we can't adapt well to harsh conditions...plus, within a galactic regional civilization there may be hundreds of trillions of others which offer more. And... with technology levels needed for light speed travel it is likely such a civilization would also have 'other technologies' with comparable scope. Meaning...they may be able to manufacture any workforce they might require. Hell, even at our limited technology level we manufacture a workforce (robotics).

NO, there is nothing to be concerned about...Sorry.

Jealousy usually roots in FEAR.

Protecting the people important to you usually roots in LOVE.

Since we are discussing human social behavior its important to realize these values are different for each of us.

Sometimes the fact that we do LOVE someone can lead to jealousy about losing the one we love (Fear).

Most normal jealousy can usually be corrected by reassurance.

If you are dating a narcissist, a sociopath or a psychopath chances are the jealousy will get dangerous.

In my 6 decades I've had many nicknames, a few 'pet' names and three proper names.

My actual name is Thomas, my parents called me Tommy (and a few early GFs) and most people call me Tom.

Nicknames are mainly work/school & social names given by friends or co-workers.

'Pet' names are terms of endearment usually given by those who love you.

My family had a close friendship with a family when the kids were younger.
The dad's name as David. I called him David. David's son was also David. We all called him Davy when he was young and Dave when he named his son David, whom we then called Davy.

I've had GFs in my life which, while I knew their given names, I only called them by the pet names I gave them.

My current GF and I don't use any names. Its usually just the two of us and we don't need names because if we are talking, we are talking to each other. Neither of us talk to each other's backs or mumble complaints.
We actually enjoy each other's company.

In public, we use pet names, she calls me Tom and I call her by her first name.

Since I never really called my X by her given name, other women who have the same name have no impact on me. Besides, I know other women are not the same personality as her (which is a good thing).

I tend to remember people's names by associating their facial features to the name they tell me when we meet. After a bond is formed and I am comfortable in their presence, I nickname them.
If I still call you by the first name you told me, I either don't know you very well or I don't care to know you any better.

I dated a girl my freshman year of college named Nicky. I called her "KiKi" (KeeKee). She liked the name so much she adopted it as her regular nickname.

Two of my oldest son's friends used to hang out at the house. I know their names but I called them "Pete" and "Repeat" because everytime I saw then one, the other was sure to follow.

One of my boys had a girlfriend named Ashley. She had rather large breasts for her age, I called her "Milk".

My daughter's friend was Native American. I used to call her "Sacagawea". A different friend of hers I called "Couch" because as soon as she got to the house she immediately sat on the sofa.
