Yes, I was a freshman in high school..He was my very first love and we went together off and on all thru hs.. He was a yr older and when he graduated he moved to California.. I was devastated.. We met again many yrs later, had one night together and then he died....   OMG!!! What did you DO to the poor guy?? lol |

Death is a part of life. There is no escaping. Some choose their own fate. I agree with death being a part of life, I just dont agree with it being in Mans hands to decide when others should die,,,or how But yet, it's perfectly acceptable for a murderer to " decide when " to take someone else's life. The murderer can't have his or her life taken though. That would just be wrong. THEY have to be provided with food and clothing and health care for the rest of their lives on the taxpayers' dime. Does anyone else but me see the hypocrisy in statements like that?? What is being provided for the families of the killer's victims? |

Life is what you make it...hopes, dreams, and fantasy lives aren't real anyhow for 95% of the world. 95% of the world hates their jobs or are unemployed...hate their marriages or are divorced multiple times...they don't have the cars they wanted, the kids they wanted, the food they crave. They aren't Astronauts, Firemen, Senators, or Scientists....they just live  Fair enough, E. But I would be willing to bet that, even though they " just live " at this point, those people still HAVE dreams or things they look forward to. Or. at the least, somewhere they go in their minds to " escape " their everyday lives. |

my thought is everyone is entitled to having a dream.. and its never to late to start thinking of one... even people with dreams have not had that good of a childhood.. But there is one critical element missing in that idea. The person never learned HOW to dream. No one ever told that person that it was ok to think bigger. So where would you tell the person to start figuring out how to start? |

...I've seen a lot of threads around here over the years asking about people's dreams or fantasies.
I have seen many different responses from many different people. But.... What if you never LEARNED to dream of being something bigger or " better " that you are. What if, as a kid, you spent all your time trying to survive and keep from going completely insane? What if your life is all you have. No hopes, no dreams, no fantasy life that you want to live some day. What then? What are you left with? Would one be thought to have an " empty " life?? Would there be the thought that the person has something " missing " in their life? |
