The planet earth is tilting.........my ying and yang and harmony are off.......I WANT A NEW PLANET!!!!sad explode sad

Wanting is two steps short of getting and keeping.
1. We need to determine how to take control of our lives, in our work space, and then take action on that decision.
2. Keep the route to success written down and secret, for when we need to think of the unthinkable again.
We have the faith.
We can do it.
We will outlive this bout, and let's not waste the opportunity.
If the old wisdom is worth anything, those of us who come out on top during hard/anxious/bizarre circumstances tend to stay successful.

Small work groups (4 route drivers and 1 supervisor) can face hard times quickly.
Monday morning, first thing, a new driver self-terminated and went ballistic with wild accusations about the company.
Tuesday morning, my vehicle's driver's window was shattered by a bullet. (Got it fixed Wednesday morning.)
Wednesday--noonish--another driver's apartment building suffered a fire while he was in college classes.
Thursday: Freezing rain and gusting wind starting now...to continue for about one week.
Fridaay: As if this isn't enough, this week, what's coming?

The really cool thing is that when you let/help a special person move the bricks, one by one, you ending up using them to build a strong basis for a new relationship.

Gusty winds settled down to normal breeze. Overnight low 17, leading into tomorrow's high of 27, and a 50% chance of snow/rain mixed...so that means SLICK roads at temperatures below freezing.

Forecast calls for more like this, on Saturday, and then Tuesday through Thursday.

If this rain/snow freezing stuff lasts the week, with clear days in between, then whatever is hitting Anchorage tonight should spread on over to the east by Thursday or Friday.

Good luck, everyone.

Divorce Agreement

Dear American liberals, leftists, social progressives, socialists, Marxists and Obama supporters, et al:

We have stuck together since the late 1950's, but the whole of this latest election process has made me realize that I want a divorce. I know we tolerated each other for many years for the sake of future generations, but sadly, this relationship has run its course. Our two ideological sides of America cannot and will not ever agree on what is right so let's just end it on friendly terms. We can smile and chalk it up to irreconcilable differences and go our own way.

Here is a model separation agreement:

Our two groups can equitably divide up the country by landmass each taking a portion. That will be the difficult part, but I am sure our two sides can come to a friendly agreement. After that, it should be relatively easy!

Our respective representatives can effortlessly divide other assets since both sides have such distinct and disparate tastes.

1. We don't like redistributive taxes so you can keep them.
2. You are welcome to the liberal judges and the ACLU.
3. You can keep Oprah, Michael Moore and Rosie O'Donnell (You are, however, responsible for finding a bio-diesel vehicle big enough to move all three of them).
4. You can have your beloved homeless, homeboys, hippies and illegal aliens.
5. You can make nice with Iran and Palestine.
6. You can have the peaceniks and war protesters.
7. You are welcome to Islam, Scientology, Humanism and Shirley McClain.
8. You can also have the U.N.. but we will no longer be paying the bill.
9. You can take every Subaru station wagon you can find.
10. You can give everyone healthcare if you can find any practicing doctors.
11. You are welcome to make up your own national anthem, such as Imagine, I'd Like to Teach the World to Sing, Kum Ba Ya or We Are the World, etc.
12. Since you hate guns and war, we'll take our firearms, the cops, the NRA and the military.
13. We'll keep the capitalism, greedy corporations, pharmaceutical companies, Wal-Mart and Wall Street.
14. We'll keep the hot Alaskan hockey moms, greedy CEO's and rednecks.
15. We'll keep the Bibles and give you NBC and Hollywood.
16. We'll retain the right to invade and hammer places that threaten us.
17. When our allies or our way of life are under assault, we'll help provide them security.
18. We'll keep our Judeo-Christian values.
19. We'll keep the SUVs, pickup trucks and oversized luxury cars.
20. We'll continue to believe healthcare is a luxury and not a right. We'll keep The Battle Hymn of the Republic and the National Anthem. I'm sure
21. We'll practice trickle down economics and you can give trickle up poverty your best shot.
22. Since it often so offends you, we'll keep our history, our name and our flag.

Would you agree to this? If so, please pass it along to other like minded liberal and conservative patriots and if you do not agree, just hit delete. In the spirit of friendly parting, I'll bet you ANWAR which one of us will need whose help in 15 years.

Sincerely,

John J. Wall
Law Student and an American

P.S. Also, please take Barbara Streisand & Jane Fonda with you.
Peace be unto you!

I have had visceral deja vu. I once had a dream I was overlooking a bluffline where two rivers meet. I asked someone what the rivers names were. He pointed at one and said "Snake river". Then he pointed at the other and said "Vermillion river". I said "Very beautiful". Years later on my motorcycle while travelling in colorado I came to a bluffline where two rivers met. I had never been there in my life. I seen it in my dream. I looked at my map. It was the snake and vermillion rivers. I took pictures and sat there in the grass for an hour contemplating what it could mean.

It means that our God is looking out ahead for you. Shows you that He has plans for good, for your future.

Today is a first.
First time I woke up to find the driver's side window of my vehicle shot to pieces.
First time that I've seen a bullet distorted and ripped so horribly that I knew it had gone through hell to reach my window...and then die of torment just inside on the floor.
First time for a freebie window bag, from the trunk of a police car, and they keep those handy for when prisoners kick out the windows, etc.
First time a detective ever told me, "That bullet is probably one of ours."
First time I realized that a SWAT team can take down a gunner's apartment so quietly, without sirens and stuff awakening the whole neighborhood
First time I can look 600 feet away, and identify the hole in the wall of an apartment building as the exit point where that bullet left the premises on its way to find my window.
Big damn hole.
Not a small bullet.
SWAT was taking zero chances with small arms.
And the detective and the police sergeant wanted to find "the other" missing bullet, too.
So...by the time that the photo shoot was done, and I swept up the glass from the ice and snow, and off the driver's seat, and drove to work...my boss already had arrangements underway to replace the window, at the expense of the police department.
No mention is made of paying me for the 1 1/2 hours lost work due to cleaning up the mess. (That's not a first.)laugh laugh laugh

laugh Kiss much ass there? I find your excessive use of compliments, praise, and the like highly suspicious. huh Why are you attempting to curry favor?

At the time of the original post, several days of discussions had degenerated into the war between the sexes. Rather than get drawn into the battle, I took the opportunity to express my thanks for all the goodwill that women here have shown to me.
You are not the first to suggest that I have an ulterior motive.
That is a predictable stance, for you.
You might notice the several men who dared to post sincere comments praising the Mingle women, in this thread. They risked as much as you, in their own way, because they saw it is the right thing to do, both for themselves and for Mingle.
Thank you, for your post.

Ya this has gone around a few times. I enjoy it each time I read it. We always start life out thinking we have forever.

Well, we do. But not here on this earth. LOL

Forever seems somehow too small to express all the love that ought to have been known, here and now. I suppose that we can each give all that we've got, and then have fewer regrets when we finally do have it all. Eh?
