That's like telling an atheist they own evolution.

See you assume that all atheists MUST believe in evolution. You pit your religion against evolution probably because it is more scientific and logical than your religion so it poses more of a threat to your beliefs. I know many atheists who know nothing about evolution and just don't really care to know.

If I tell someone I don't believe in their Christian concept of God many people automatically jump to the conclusion that I believe in evolution and that I am going to defend evolution. I don't know squat about evolution, sorry to disappoint them. They are all ready with their arguments and they are sorely disappointed.

I know God just as much as any Christian. You think Christians own God. My relationship with God is personal and I am not Christian, nor am I an "evolutionist."

When did I say you practiced atheism?

And when did I argue against atheism? If I was doing that I would post facts that dis prove what they say. That was an example.

Quote "Wikipedia"
An example is a demonstration with the aim of informing others of how a task should be performed.

So long we are alive we are thankful to 'God'.
What is the ultimate goal of the life?smokin

This would be better posted in "Christian singles" but I'll answer it anyway.

Everyone has a purpose to their life. Maybe it's to minister, feed the hungry. I don't know. Nobody know their purpose until they ask.

That's why the "Meaning of life" is not known. It's different for everyone.

Now I'm wondering why you think that this would better be posted in the "Christian singles?" Christians don't own God. I believe in God and having a purpose in life -- and I'm not a Christian.

It's not that they "Own" God. Nobody "Owns" God. God is a living being. You can't "own" God.

However God does have a way of working. He does have rules and ways that he does things. I think it would be better posted in "Christian singles" Because those people would actually know what they are talking about!

Nobody would argue about fables or scientific theory's. They would give this person the correct answer! Not some off the wall nonsense about ghosts or lawn gnomes or what not

Now you are saying that only Christians know what they are talking about when it comes to God.

frustrated

That is exactly what I mean when I say that Christians don't own God. Stop hogging the God concept.

But if you want, why not post another one in the Christian singles forum. Then you can go there and you won't have to deal with other people's concepts of God.

The point I am trying to make is your assumption that only Christians know anything about God and can discuss this subject. That is "owning God."

Someone feels attacked...

Just because others have concepts about God does not make them true.

Atheists don't "Own" evolution! I'm free to believe that the earth rides on the back of giant turtle! That is my concept.

I don't feel attacked at all. I just want you to realize that when you say things like that that you are trying to claim that Christians OWN GOD. You don't even realize you are doing it.

And nobody is talking about owning evolution. I did not mention evolution and I don't ever talk about 'evolution.' I don't even know why you even brought that subject up. Its completely OFF TOPIC.

Just because others have concepts about God does not make them true.

And that statement INCLUDES YOU and Christianity. So stop trying to own God.

Atheism is an example.

Long story short Christians do not own God.

If you want advice on how to handle a cold you see a doctor
If you want to know how the world works you talk to a scientist
If you want to know about God who do YOU think you talk to?

Someone who has their own idea? OR Someone who studies that sort of thing?

You go to the person with the facts. The person who studies it. Anyone else is guessing.

Here you are claiming that Christianity has the correct answers and nobody else's ideas are right, not even science.

However God does have a way of working. He does have rules and ways that he does things. I think it would be better posted in "Christian singles" Because those people would actually know what they are talking about!

Here you are expressing you view of what God is and what 'he' does etc. And you are stating that only Christians know what they are talking about when it comes to God.

If you don't call that trying to "own" God then I don't know what it is. You are owning the concept of God and making the claim that it is the only correct one.

Everyone else who believes in God doesn't know what they are talking about. That is what you ARE SAYING.

You are owning God.

I hope this clears things up about what I mean by "owning God."

That's like telling an atheist they own evolution.

They don't own it. They simply know what they are talking about.

I created a parody religion in which we all evolve from advanced clowns. Does that mean that what I say holds water? (Seltzer water maybe) No, just because someone tells you something (Like that God is female) does not mean you should believe it. Or that it holds water.

If what the other person says matches what you read in the Bible or know about God for a fact. Then yes, it's the truth.

Which is why I said this person should ask people who know God for the answer.

Good advice for dealing with the supernatural. If you see a female demon do this.

I simply offer it as a warning to others. I'm glad you find it amusing.

Amusing? noway Fascinating? Yes.

No. I simply pride myself in having knowledge of the supernatural.

Must have been one Hel! of a Demon. (No pun intended) Thankfully I have never had this strong of an experience.

Though I don't doubt it happened.

It's what can happen when you play with the occult. That and much worse.

Aha! In the back of my mind I was thinking "This girl had to play with a ouji board or visit a witch" I knew that stuff did not just "Happen" which explains the sickness!

BOOYAH! Koodos to me! bigsmile

Even if you did not do the board or the witch I was still on the right street.

I have not seen an angel nor a demon. I did, however, have contact with a demon once and I don't recommend the experience.

Talked to a demon once to. Not a fun deal. Violent nasty things.

Luckily this one was not violent (or at least did not stay around long enough to do violence) but it did make me physically ill.

I'm surprised you allowed it to stick around that long.

Did you get over the sickness?

It didn't stay around more than a few minutes. I mean the contact made me throw up and nearly pass out.

I have.

Really? Did you use the oporturnity to ask why god needs to create multiple species of beings as servents?

Or did your ego take over preventing you from making any more logical assumptons other than you were seeing a guardian angel sent JUST FOR YOU becasue god thinks you're so special?

Man shiki! I think you have a secret admirer here! What does make you think you have an angel sent to earth!? Can't God do that himself!?

Why create anything!? Why do kings have servants? Can't they do all the work themselves?

Angels are what's called ministering spirits. They are servants of God. If you see one it's for a reason. God is a King. He's not going to do all the work himself!

Think about that for a minute...Does any king, or queen get out in the fields or the workplace and do EVERYTHING themselves? no. Because then they would not be kings. They have what's called power. And with power comes less work.

I've always wanted to meet an angel for two reasons. 1. It would be a life expierience and 2. I've always wondered if I could take one in a fight.

Here is the biggest lie. If every miracle, if all of the facts that proved things in the Bible, were reported, if the media were truly objective, and not biased against Christianity, there would be very few people who wouldn't believe. Truth be told, many people are not aware of this, and so they have doubts.

And so, beginning tomorrow, I make my triumphant return by providing you with proof, yes, proof of various facts of The Bible.

Tomorrow: Did the Three Wise Men Exist?

According to your quote everying you wrote after "here is the biggest lie" is actually a lie. If what is 'truth' to you is not communicated any better than that, then your words will not be an effective devise for relaying that which might be viewed as the opposite of a lie.

Just a constructive criticism - do carry on.

God always hears our prayers and questions. We may not see how he answers our prayers right now but God is always working even when we can't see it. Don't doubt that. Many times God simply is teaching us patience. God will reveal his will to us in His timing. He knows what is best for us. He will answer us in a special way just for us and give us peace. Just keep listening for God and put His will above your own.

Good advice. Thanks for the info!

Look for the light in others.

I used to want to know how to walk into a crowded room and walk out with any women you want. But that one's been solved.

I guess the mystery I would want to see is, How to make the perfect profile!

I did have one that got about 3 messages a week. I lived the dream. All I needed to know after that was how to master the art of seduction.

Alas I am no "Charlie harper" I thought I could do better and deleted the profile. I could not do better, and have since given up.

I have better things to do than date an endless stream of desperate lonely women.

I find it's much more satisfying to simply date myself! Have a few drinks, take myself to dinner, and later on I sometimes get lucky.
The bonus is, I never have to sleep on the couch tongue2

Shiki Deprivation Syndrome (SDS): A condition whereby a hot female (known as a Shikette) feels pangs of lonliness and anxiety because of not being in contact with The Shiki. Cure for this is providing Shiki with a special Shiki slurpee.

Nice name for it shiki. Ive never heard of it being called a "Slurpie"

Ive heard "Playing the flute" but never a "slurpee" Good show

In the past that was true, but people today are more enlightened to spiritual values I would think. In addition to that there are laws in place that a person must be proven to be a danger to himself and or others before anyone can confine them in a mental institution.

Besides, President Bush claimed to have conversations with God. Nobody thought he should be committed. (Except me maybe because I think he was a danger to the entire world...LOL) laugh laugh

Enlightened to spiritual values? Have you read the other threads on this forum?

There's haters elsewhere.
