My only remaining long-time bestie bought 2 lottery tickets on 2 different consecutive days 2 weeks ago and BOTH of them hit - for $2,000 & $1,000. I told him I thought he should share some of that luck of his and give me all the winnings, minus the cost of the 2 tickets. I can't understand why he raised an eyebrow at the suggestion, after all, to give is divine and giving always brings the giver more joy than the recipient - or so I've repeatedly heard from the churchy-types. Maybe I should have dragged him into a nearby church before making the suggestion? I'd whoop yer azz just for suggestin' it.. never mind raising an eyebrow.. you got off lucky in ma books ya ol'coot! |

Free speech is more important than polite speech. Free speech is one thing.. disparaging speech while lumping EVERYone into your negativity is just plain rude and assumptive. time ta get the butt movin.. been up since 3:30am
yuppers.. even did some shoveling.. at around 11am.. yeah.. I ain't goin out shoveling THAT early.. need SOME natural light (not moonlight either)
anywho.. did some baking this afternoon lemon crumble with walnuts and brownies, with walnuts of course.. YUM.. so got some Kitchen duty to clean up the mess then shower then chill with a show then a good book so.. chow ma peeps and lurkers.. enjoy your evenin

well.. having died personally in 1975.. I've spent more time in the hospital then anyone I've ever known.. my dad used to say "it could be worse"
or ma fave was "there's always someone out there worse off" REALLY??  seems dying wasn't "worse off" enough
he'd also say: "just means you're stronger than most to be able to take on their problems" what luck huh.. mind you, I wouldn't've minded giving some back 
I've broken 2 fingers and hung 7' off a "frost" fence just by the palm of my hand so.. yeah.. you can use yer broken bowling knuckle
I sheltered in place so was lucky enough to avoid THAT lil germ.. thankfully |

haha, you're making me --> 🤣 A whole cupboard full?! Greedy git! I'm happy if I get to buy a small bottle of the stuff. (never seen any larger ones) What do you have to do to get 5 tonnes of maple syrup? Maybe I too can apply for that, lol. Glad your dinner was good. Mine was a bit of a disaster but thank goodness I had a nice beetroot salad so in the end it was still okay :) aww sorry ta hear your dinner was a bit of a disaster.. but glad at least your salad was good..

always buy a few cans when they go on special.. price has been skyrocketing for a few years now so when they hit $5/can.. I jump on'em

NO. Watching professional sports is a waste of my (and everybody else's) time. I'm sorry but who are you? (rhetorical) This sir, is the 2nd time you've posted unwarranted and negative comments in this Pub.. I would kindly ask you to please refrain from doing so in the future. Might I reiterate the RULES that have been enforced since 2006: RULES (posted outside the front door) 1. no guns allowed (must holster and check in to gain entry)
2. NO DRAMA.. sorry.. this is a DRAMA FREE zone folks.. gotta take it OUTside! 
3. be Respectable to EVERYone at ALL times.. 4. bring your best wit and imagination!
