unlike men.. we don't need a lil blue pill to start the engines
Indeed we don't but... we do need good levels of oestrogen in order to be sexual. As women become post-menopausal the levels drop and are basically zilch. Also, our testosterone drops which can also have a serious effect on our sexdrive. You can remedy that by using HRT. Aside from all that our sexdrive (and oestrogen levels) for a very big part depend on the man: We need to feel (emotionally) safe, we need to trust the man and know, sense, feel that he's there reliable. This goes for any woman, regardless of age. That's why casual sex doesn't work for core feminine women --> the safety, trust etc. isn't there. Without that it's very very difficult to surrender and let go. We have to be extremely vulnerable to open up -figuratively & literally- to allow a man to penetrate us -again also figuratively & literally. on this, I beg to differ, at least in my case.. my sex drive has increased with age.. perhaps because I've enjoyed it more later in life? Admittedly I have not been active since 2009 so maybe it's all just stockpiled
I have had the experience that it can 'stockpile' hahaha. As for the rest, there's no one size fits all. It's a very individual thing. And could also be that you're quite high in testosterone with all the work you do in and around the house as that's kind of like resistance training. And resistance training ups testosterone, which is also related to sexdrive. For me, I noticed it go up a bit when I'd started HRT. I hadn't really noticed it had gotten less as for me it always tends to be somewhat lower when I'm single. It usually wakes up at full force when I have a partner so for me it's strongly related to my feelings for a man. I concur.. one size does not fit all.. every person IS different so no matter what research one does, the results don't apply to EVERYone.. you suggest that it's due to all the hands on labor I'm doing.. but I don't believe it is.. cuz I've been working with my hands for years and not felt like this ALL the time.. and I've been single for 17 yrs and not felt like this ALL the time either.. however there's been no male presence.. I have my own theories.. none of which I plan to share openly online tho

to add to GravelRidgeBoy's list of possible reasons.. perhaps he's simply inquiring as to what "passion" feels like at a later stage in a womans life.. seems to me, now that I've re-read it, that he's asking if women older than 54 are AS passionate as a 54 yr old is, and MAYBE he'd be interested in dating even older women IF they are.. to answer that.. they don't call us COUGARS for NUTTIN unlike men.. we don't need a lil blue pill to start the engines Finally u read it from my perspective rather than just judging me for my choice of words which everyone else is doing. As Crystal said.. no one judged you.. per se.. but your choice of words did cause initial shock and confusion.. I did have to re-read it a few times to totally get where I finally got.. so perhaps choosing your words more carefully would be a good place to start when joining a conversation with, as Crystal put it, strangers.. now Crystal, I get why you are miffed by his query but seriously.. we are all adults here (as you stated) and even tho he asked with a bit of brashness / tactlessness.. it is a valid question from a younger person to an older woman.. how else would he find the answer..? on this, we will have to agree to disagree.. sorry my dear, but the internet does embolden people to ask what normally they wouldn't in public.. just sayin... |

I guess I'm more used to the English style that without that nose strap.. it looks odd to me.. but you know best having done the research..
mind you.. here's a pic of a western bridle so.. I guess some have it and some don't.. this one seems to be without a bit tho..
I'd go with a tail and some mane to show the movement.. but that's just me.. |

Threw a bag of frozen wings in my cart once, not realizing they were "hot" wings. Got a nice surprise when I pulled them out of the oven and took a bite. I bet NEXT time you'll take a few seconds more to read the label FIRST

and ended up in the bathroom stall next to mine
most likely and regretted trying it..
I did get some wings when I was on a group ride one time for we stopped to eat on the way back.. Ohhh my gawd I got the hot thinking I have yet been to a restaurant that the wings were too hot.. Well I met my match that day.. At least I did order half of them hot and the other half a bit milder.. That first bite of the hot ones took my breath away.. Talking about breaking a sweat.. Of course got a good laugh out of the group I was with.. For I was sweating and trying to cool down my mouth...
that'll teach ya fer next time huh
maybe bring one of those mini-hand-held-fans along just in case

it cud also be an English saddle.. there's no saddle horn on those..
but you ARE right.. part of the bridle is missing over the nose and under the chin... plus the silver 'bridle bit' is missing too.. upon closer scrutiny.. had horses myself for awhile.. english mostly, only 1 western.. but typically chaps are used with western saddle horses so ya might wanna add a horn Crystal.. just sayin.. lol
it is looking amazing tho.. Kudos on yer progress |

Speaking of spicy food in Asia. I was having a meal with a girl at a road side stand in Thailand. On the table were three small containers of some kind of spice mix. I asked the girl what they were. She said, "this one is hot, that one is hotter, and you don't want to touch the third one". I didn't try any of them. I love spicy foods... but even I might have passed that up
But then knowing me, I might have tried the one that was just hot...
and ended up in the bathroom stall next to mine

Sounds way too hot for me as well! The gallbladder isn't a filter. It's a storage place for bile which is produced by the liver. The bile aids in digestion of fats. Without a gallbladder there's no more storage but the liver still produces bile which is then directly dumped into the digestive tract. When it comes to eating I haven't noticed any difference whatsoever. But then I must say that my fat intake isn't crazy either. I'm nibbling on beef jerky, YAM! Supermarket was out for days and I asked about it 2 days ago. He immediately ordered a new batch which was in today :D Me very happy, hihi. I'm nibblin' on a rice cake maself.. I prefer the caramel flavor but it's hard to find these days.. currently on buttered popcorn flavor then I'll snacky on a white cheddar..

As far as the cat doors sorry I'm with y'all I would never have one.. I'm a dog person but never would put one in for my dog.. Heck I live in town and have a Huge Raccoon & Opossum that I see on my patio from time to time.. I could just see coming home and my house be a shambles due to they got in and went nuts in my house..
I prefer a dog myself but.. I get what I get out here in the country most times it's raccoons, stray cats, foxes and possoms.. the occasional dog, AND skunk (seen 2 skunks this winter already ) actually..
coons are fairly clean & neat animals.. they only wreck havoc when afraid.. that "fight or flight" mode kicks in to FLIGHT when confronted with humans.. in my experience.. lol
The only time I had any issues was after my gallbladder was taken out for it is a filter for your body that is now being bypassed. It is the reason foods go through much faster lol add lack of gallbladder to IBS and you have the indy 500 meets the autobahn

My cats don't wear collars either. I don't want them to, not even if they have so called safety clasps that open when it gets caught. I still feel it's too risky. My cats' chips are under the skin of their neck/between shoulder blades. I had that done when they got spayed so they didn't feel a thing of it. Nevertheless I can't get a catflap as I have sliding doors with huge windows in 'em. Too expensive to have a catflap fitted in there and what if it goes wrong and the double glazing breaks? Would cost a fortune to have that sorted and I haven't got a fortune, hihi. So getting up again and again it is. because mine is a stray, just showed up and immediately fell in love with my dog.. I didn't chip her.. but cool you did.. I did manage to spay her tho.. then she got hit by a car a few years ago.. took her to the vet and they wanted $1200+ to fix her.. I asked the vet a lot of questions and decided to fix her myself.. and after a few months in "jail" inside my dogs crate.. she was healed.. (had the vet check her to be sure).. same here.. patio doors are costly to get fitted and even though I CUD cut a hole in the wall from the deck inside, I do NOT want to wake to a skunk, a raccoon, a possom, or any other critter roaming around the house.. not that it's scary.. my worst fear would be the skunk and their smell..

Black pepper on anything is a genetic curse on the patrimonial side. Found out when a physician diagnosed mah dad's "itchy butt" syndrome - it was an allergy making him scoot across the lawn imitating the dog.
When my wife was peeved with me she'd take revenge by putting plenty of black pepper on everything in a meal she so "lovingly" crafted just for my pleasure - then she'd giggle herself silly over my all-too-apparent discomfort for the next few hours.
Serves me right, I have long known a husband ALWAYS loses arguments, even if only for the make-up sex afterwards.
I don't use pepper at all.. I use this instead ONLY on salads and veggies.. I NEVER salt anything else..
it isn't spicy at all IMO.. |

To add to my post above ^^^^ What you then get is many women deciding to go and stay solo. I'm on the verge of doing that as well. Zee says she's done that too. Women are very good at living solo. Men not so much. This is also physical, I'm not 100% sure of the reason, but if memory serves it has something to do with a hormonal change in men. That's also why men often enter a new relationship directly after leaving a partner. Women generally cannot do that. We need time to heal. Again if memory serves, the reason we can go solo and lead a totally fulfilling life also has to do with something hormonal, the way we're wired. You see this happen more and more these days as there simply aren't a lot of quality men anymore who are rooted & anchored in their masculinity. I agree Crystal, for the most part, men these days IMO seem unwilling to bend.. we have to move to them, they've laid roots and ours don't seem to even come into account.. there is not even a discussion of compromise.. to me there's no balance in their masculine & feminine side.. yet the women I know seem to balance out.. I've always felt like a "she-male" (not speaking about sexuality, in that regard I am ALL woman) I'm speaking to my connectedness with my masculine side, that I can handle doing both types of work AND use both sides of my brain.. be it male or female oriented (old school descriptions).. and possibly one of the reasons why I make friends so easily with men.. I can relate on many levels.. however.. lots of men seem to not be able to relate on a similar level with women.. many do not seem to have the empathetic gene nor can they pick up on clues given by women.. also, in my experience, men who relate to my masculine side, seem blind to my feminine side.. all this to say YEAH, I've come to accept being single for the balance of my life because I have yet to meet ANY man that can live up to my expectations, even WITH compromise, of what a relationship shud be.. I've given quite a few the chance to prove me wrong but.. hasn't happened yet so figure it's not gonna..
