A friend at work today asked me how tall I was and I told her 6', maybe 6'1" with tall heels. She didn't believe me because her husband was 5'9" and I was much taller than he is so I had to be at least 6'2" or 6'3". That's when I had to explain to her that most men claim to be at least 1-2" taller than they really are. My question for everyone is simple, why do men do this? I was just kinda wondering.

don't know, but i have guys claim that they are 6', but weren't much taller than me.... and i'm about 5'5.5"

I have no idea. I'm 5'10" and the truth is...I've never really ran into that. Most guys whether they are short or tall...for the most part don't have a problem with my height.

I dont know why guys do it but apparantly when I drink too much I become Tara Too Tall!!! I become 6 ft tall immediately!!!

I dont know why guys do it but apparantly when I drink too much I become Tara Too Tall!!! I become 6 ft tall immediately!!!
I get smaller when I drink like Alice in Wonderland.... but I'm only starting at 5/3 so that may be why I don't go the other route.

drinking naturally increases leg length allowing for the lesser competitors in the room to kiss your butt without having to make any extra effort

I have always thought I was 5'4 and a half, but my last physical said 5'4". I said, NO..this scale is broken...and made them do it again on another scale...5'4"...shrinking has commenced.
