ok this is too weird yesterday i got 2 e-mails from ladies thats said they really like me .. then after chatting awhile.. i found out they are from westafrica and would like me to transfer funds into my back
 um am not that stupid .. has anyone else had this experence??

I get them all the time...there is a spot on the FBI website you can send the info

I got them all the time on other sites, so I stopped using those. I haven't had that problem on this site. I hope it's not starting here, but there has been a lot of threads about it lately!

I've bumped into a few scammers asking me for money (both in emails and online sites). I respond to them telling them that I have loads of money in the bank but to get it out I would have to pay a severe penalty upfront for making an early withdrawal. I tell them to send me whatever amount of money I dream up so I can get the money out. I wonder why I never hear from them again!

no not on here but i did get an email in my personal file that said it was from a person & company I knew locally.but after a few emails & a short investigation..turns out that they want me to cash some money orders & keeps 10% for my self then send the rest to an address in west Africa..I turned it over to the police...

yeah one of the first people here that contacted me gave me a yahoo addy to talk to her at..when i looked it up in the yahoo direstory it came back as blacklisted for scamming

When I get email scammers I created a standard, ficticious response to them to, hopefully, scare the daylights out of them. I'd report them to authorities, but with so many scammers out there, I don't think much can be done.
Here's the "made up" response I use to email scammers that I get: The email address you have scammed is an alias in use by the International Internet Security Organization (IISO) prosecuting Internet fraud. You are receiving this notification from the International Internet Security Organization (IISO). The scam email (below) that you have sent out constitutes an international criminal act which is punishable by up to five years in prison and a fine up to $100,000.00 U.S. dollars (in the country from where the scam was sourced). Your source location has been identified and you are ordered to remain where you are located. The IISO police will be in contact with you for further questioning and to deliver possible criminal charges. Stay where you are. Do not leave. Remain calm and respond to IISO officers demands when they come to your door. Security Agent #33521 International Internet Security Organization |
