My 18 year old niece who will be living with me until the end of the month has had her boyfriend staying here with her since the beginning of the month. (I reallly didn't think it was a good idea to begin with, but please please please uncle Lance can he come visit - so I said ok.) Anyhow, I heard her crying yesterday and this morning she tells me her boyfriend broke up with her. I go out for a bit and return home to find that they are in the bathrroom presumably showering together or whatever. In my books after a break up it's just not something to do. Thankfully they are both on the way out in a couple of days the latest.

Well, they're either trying to work things out, or having breakup sex. *Shrug*

 I don't care how old she is, that wouldn't be okay in my home, period!! Wow!! Ask him for RENT and visitation fees!!!

Yeah... 18 or not, houseguests inviting other people to stay doesn't sit well with me, especially if they're getting some and I'm not.

Visiting, a month, sounds like to me your niece has taken advantage of your kindness. NO ONE WILL HAVE SEX OF ANY KIND IN MY HOUSE BUT ME!!!! If anyone, including my children feel like they need to have sex, then it is time for them to hit the door! That is a grown up act to do, therefor they need to be grown in their own chit.

Yeah... 18 or not, houseguests inviting other people to stay doesn't sit well with me, especially if they're getting some and I'm not. I think they are catching on - my mood hasn't been that great around here lately - but I will try to bite my tongue for 1 more day

i think she may be crying out for guidence.Sometimes it helps to tell a family member that is close to you (in this case your niece) the way they should be treated because they are new at the dating thing.best of luck hopes this helps

Thats the one rule my parents place on me that i havent broken...when i moved back in they told me no sex in the house, and no smoking in the house....other wise i was pretty much free to do whatever....I would NEVER dream of breaking the no sex in the house rule...cuz then i would have no place to go!

If he was living under my roof and not paying rent he wouldn't have time for sex. Considering he'd be way to busy with cutting the grass, cleaning the carpets, painting the house, washing the dishes, cleaning the gutters, ..........
