Topic: I get an email.....

....from someone I've never seen on the forums, never emailed with, never IM'd with that says are you free in the morning and gives me his name and phone number. I respond back 'free for what' and that I meant no offense but did he really think I was gonna call a complete stranger? I got an email back and it seemed I pissed him off. Certainly wasn't my intent. SOOO - am I the only one that thinks it's odd that I'd just up and go out one morning with someone I don't know - at all? I don't know if I'm more cautious because I'm a mother now or if I'm just boring!

in todays society, one needs to be more cautious. you did the right thing in my opinion.

No - he was clearly a whacko. You did the right thing - he sounds a tad desperate, don't you think? I would steer clear.

There have been a few guys who just emailed me their phone numbers and told me to call them....and I'm not going to call them, let alone go out with them, having never had any contact with them at all already! And being a mom....you just can't be too careful.

I had NO intention what-so-ever of calling or meeting - I was just shocked that he came back with a crappy / sarcastic tone. O well - thank you all No - he was clearly a whacko. You did the right thing - he sounds a tad desperate, don't you think? I would steer clear.

I am going to share a guy secret with you and don't tell them I told you this.......But SOME men just play a numbers game. He most likely sent out the same email to every women in your area. Now here the great or sad part, there will be a women that will answer him and he/they will be doing something in the morning.....and I personal hope they have a good time....

That info never goes out till I'm asked for it. He was either a creep or a total newbie to the internet.
