We have now been in Iraq so damn long i am being sent back AGAIN for 12-18 months!? I was there for 21 months already and i believe i have seen all i need to see/done all i need to do.

Sorry to hear that your having to go back. Stay safe keep your head up and go with your gut feeling if something feels wrong be aware of what is around the corner.

I was there the first time

well, only I was on a cruiser out in the Gulf tossin Tomahawks. and it just went on and on and on and on. some people couldnt take it and tried to hurt themselves or jump off the ship in the middle of the night but still it went on and on and on

and then they moved us off the coast of Somalia for a year (during the Blackhawk down stuff) and then we had to go back to the gulf three more times

One day it'll end and you'll get out and then you'll look back on it as one of the best times of your life

Ask my friend who is there on his third tour, or my friends husband who is there on his third also... maybe they know.

but one of my friends her husband just went back for his 8th time.

and my brother just got med-flighted out after his 2nd turn.

then some go once and never go again.. just luck of the draw i guess.

After 3 you volunteer to go back.....so he made that choice.

That really sucks...my cousin and his wife are both Marines with 3 children...seems as soon as he gets back...they send her...been that way since the beginning...amazing they have survived this mess....God Bless you and please stay safe
