it reminds me of the atheists "I don't believe in it so you can't celebrate it" Thats not true I'm an atheist and I'm all for people celebrating christmas. or easter or Chanukah or yom kippur or hakin bakin flakin day or what ever. I like christmas and trees and carolers and the whole thing I don't want anyones christmas to be takin away. Hey SeaMonster.. I am curious now. I never heard of ...hakin bakin flakin day. I will say one more thing here.... and then I am done . Yamin....you and Miles BOTH are NOT Christians..you yourselves Both admit this. So therefore, you both do NOT have the HOLY SPIRIT IN YOU.... to LEAD and GUIDE You into ALL TRUTH!!! Wow! All this ranting and raving over personal beliefs? What it comes down to is not what the person above you or below you post or believes, but rather what you personally believe inside you. This world would rotate so much smoother if everyone just respected other people's beliefs/ customs/ practices and realized that after 1000's upon 1000's of years..people are going to believe whatever they want to. Exactly why I have no use for organized religion.

Well, since all winter solstice holidays boil down to the rebirth of the sun, yeah. That's why the church moved the celebration of the birth of the Son to that day. It wasn't a big stretch.
Personally, I'm happy with celebrating the return of the SUN. It's a nice big bright ball of gases vital to the continued survival of life on the plant. Sounds good to me. |
