For those who feel that we have a problem with ILLEGAL immigrants (not
mexicnas, not anadians, not swedish but ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS) Please
state how youd would solve the problem (and for the sake of argument
please do not name a culture, but use the term immigrant, thank you).

DO NOT sit here and state that we have a problem. Instead, state what
you your self would do if you had the legal power to do so to solve the
issue of ollegal immigration.

And if you do nto feel that Illegal immigration is a problem, then
please keep your comments either to yourself or to another thread, as
this thread is specifically dedicated to solving our problem of illegal
immigration. Forum rule number six: 6) "Post topics in the appropriate
forum" Thank you for your understanding.

ONE thing we need to do as a NATION, is get control back of our
politicians. If neccesary, put a time limit on the positioin of
representative, or congrssman just as we have for the position of
President. Make it so that these people can NOT stay in office
indefinitely. That way no matter who feels what we have a change in
politicians every so many years. Change is not bad folks. It shows us
what can and can not be done.

Also, get up off our lazy butts (yes I said OUR, that includes mine) and
lobby for our current officials to follow the laws and to enforce the
laws. Turn in companies that we KNOW are hiring illegal immigrants. And
if after we do all this, the politicians want to continue ignoring the
problem and us? FIRE THEM!!! Just like we would get fired if we did
not listen to our bosses and did not do our job properly. For I say to
you all, WE THE CITIZENS OF THE UNITED STATES ARE THE BOSSES of the
politicians, not the other way around. If we do not like what is
happening, tell them to fix it. If they do not fix it or they ignore
us, send them packing and hire new people to fix the problem. And we
keep doing this no matter what the issue, until we hve our problems
solved.

What I don't understand about "illegal immigrants" in the work force is
how they get there. There are laws that require you to ask for ID and
proof of status here, as a national, applied for citizenship and have a
permit and or a passport that include the terms of your stay. How is
it that those business that are caught ignoring those practices, get
away with it?

With this question I would offer the suggestion that, IF the government
is so interested in catching and returning these illegal immigrants, why
can't there be strictor reporting legislature on the hireing practices?
For every legal entrant should have an equivalent of a S.S. number that
would be reported prior to being hired. A responce from the
administration of such things, would be sent to the company and the
company would then report back with hire information and would also be
required to report upon that person's leaving that job. Not only would
we be hiring only those approved to be here, but the govenment would
have a great way to keep tabs on them. There are those who may question
the civil rights aspect of such a practice, but I would argue that OUR
CIVIL RIGHTS are extensions of laws that pertain to U.S. Citizens and
if/when these immigrants become citizens the reporting would cease.

I agree with you there red. We need to have a way to keep track because
there are a lot of illegals out there that started out perfectly legal
and either time or paperwork delays caused their pasports to expire and
they decided to stay. That is ONE reason for illegals in work
force, there pass expires and businesses dont check up on it.
And in a way I do feel sorry for those people cause they tried to do it
right the first time.

However there were some good comments made back int he topic inside the
religious forum (dont ask how it got there I have no idea, lol) about
american employers intentionally hiring illegals in order to keep more
money forthemselves. they pay cash, and there is just too many ways to
launder your money so that the government can not know you are paying
cash to people.

And this is somethign we as a nation need to put a stop to as well. We
need ot start enforcing the laws about hiring, and if neccesarry make
them more painful if broken.

Maybe we could offer exhile as an alternative to punishment to for those
that want to hire illegally. They want to help hte illegal immigrants,
and thus damage our own people, let them live somewhere else.

I feel we should require documentation for all. Then if they obtain
gainful employment and commit no punishable crimes (like robbery, assault
etc)then the family or individual is granted resident alien status. They
then can fast tracked to take the citizenship test.

that is how it is set up now hun, paperwork for all and tracking.
However I do not agree with the fast track for any reason. If you speed
up the process less attention is going to go into background checks, and
we will be getting more terrorists and such in the country. And yes, I
believe they are already denied citizenship if they commit certain
crimes while here on a visa. The visa is automatically revoked and they
are deported when that happens.

the illegal alien problem could be helped by cutting the foriegn
aid(welfare) program and using the money to secure borders by

hiring more border security and possibly buiding some more border
structures

detain those that illegally enter that are not under the threat of
persicution

and have them help to build the bourder structures for say 6 monthes to
pay their way back to their home land

just a thought

but hey what do i know

Hey folks,

Move to the 'Minutemen Project and Jim Gilchrist' post!

It's been debating this topic quite feverishly for a while now.

Also check out the 'Illegal Mexicans' post, in the 'religious chat'
section.

Both post will get you up to speed on what has been siad so far.

No need for a third post on the same subject. It dilutes input!
