one way or the other after a first date, would you go out on a second date? Why or why not?

I'm not sure. I'm pretty quick to decide, but that's gotten me absolutely nowhere, so yeah, I think that unless the date just totally sucked, I'd go again if asked. flowerforyou

Yeah, maybe the second date will strengthen feelings one way or another.

Would depend on what's on television.

I might go out with him again just to have someone to hang out with, but that's about it. But I'd let him know up front that it was just a friend thing and nothing more so as not to lead him on.

I would give them a second chance....we all have an "off" day once in a while. If there is nothing after the second date, you have to let them know that friendship is okay but it isn't going anywhere.ohwell

Wait......how many times did we do lunch?huh

Meaning your level of boredom at the time?

So you would say yes if she's hot and no if she's not?

No. I’m one of those people that will rely heavily on chemistry and spark on a first meeting. I can almost always have a fun time on a first date even if that is missing, but I will not pursue the relationship beyond a friendship from that point on. Why force a square peg into a round hole?

If the person was at least interesting and I had no better prospects then why not give them a second chance?

i went on a date on thursday night.. and he was real sweet but no sparks!!!

and then we took his dog for a walk ... and he peed behind a tree.

i was just plain weirded out.

i mean wow.

and there went that.

he called me tonight but really.. i don't think seeing him again would be cool because i feel nothin.

EDIT!!!

he peed... not the dog.

This happend to me recently, I went out on a date with this girl & everything seemed ok, but I just wasn't into her, I thought maybe I'm just being standoffish, so we talked some more & she really liked me, so I figured let me give this another try just to see if my feelings changed, I spent the weekend with her & I still was just not into her & she noticed, it does happen.

it's something almost all of us have gone through. That's why I'm interested to hear what everyone has to say.

Isn't that a book? "He's just not that into you"?
