Avoiding them is the only way to go...or bluntly tell them it's none of their business

Mine is the other way around. New neighbors that leave their very small children unattended and let them outside and run in the road. Playing music WAY to loud that you can't even hear your t.v. Them slapping their children on the bare legs when it is 34 degress outside. When I get home at 12:30 a.m. and the kids are still up and yelling so loud you can hear it. I am glad I have police officers as friends. They are watching the house right now because of the suspected drug dealings going on.

Convince them in their minds that you may be a psychotic killer.

Aside from that, I don't know how to get nosy people to mind their own business.

My neighbors avert their eyes when I look at them and TRY not to even see me. It's a crazy white boy thing.

Have you called child protective services?

i thought you said noisy neighbors. dang it.

to deal with nosy neighbors, stage a killing and pretend to hide the body in a rug and let them see you drag it out to the dumpster. find a way to get some fake blood to run out of the rug as you drag it away.

that'd teach them to mind their business.

That's really your best bet. Most people that meddle in other people's affairs don't have much of a life so get involved with other people's lives just so they have something to do. Pretty pathetic if you ask me.

I've had to deal with that in the past and for the most part I just kept to myself and let them think whatever they wanted to think about me. Cause when it comes down to it, only you know what's really going on and that's all that matters.

sorry, i was venting a bit there.
all better now.

Be honest and straight forward... Some people need things spelled out...

If that doesn't work then the gloves are off.. I kind of like Drews idea..

...and or you can play reverse psychology.. Be invading back. Show up during dinner and their movie time.. ask allot of personal questions and find a good balance of being condescending and sarcastic... Just enough to get under the skin.. Make sure to write them notes and put them under their door and call at the utmost appropriate times...

They should leave you alone after they call the cops that is...ha!

I had this situation a year and a half ago. It cost me the sale of my home and eventually the woman I was going to marry.(Long story)

I told both sets of neighbors that it's best that they stay out of my business and not even say hello to me ever again.

Both are elderly. The one couldn't get someone to do a job for then that desperately needed done before the winter. He actually asked me to do this job. I did it much less. Because I will never let the elderly suffer because of my anger towards them. They still know I don't like them. The other ? I won't even say Hi to her. She has people to come and do things for her now that she used to ask me to do.

I like the being interested in them in return idea...

Just, maybe, maybe... they want to be friends? Establish boundaries and see where it goes.

Well, yea...that could work too. I was just figuring if you constantly stare from across the yard at them it might scare them off...but yea, they could just want to be friends.laugh
