There was a super sale at Glens, a flat of Pansys, six pack of tomatoes, six pack of snap dragons, and a 4 inch pot of 'golden carpet' less than $13.00 . If I had a real yard instead of some pots and a small planter I would have gone crazy buying flowers this morning.

I can relate...I have a yard, but it's just one giant sandbox...I'm resorting to container garden this year. ohwell

Thats awesome! Yeah I bought some pansies the other day because they were on sale. Pansies drink a lot water though. They are constant sippers.

Which type of violets are you looking for, the only ones I've had any luck growing are the african variety.

There are some 'wild ones' that grow around here, they look the same as what they sell.

Just buy more planters! I personally get really excited when the local big-box store puts up the "manure corral" each spring...the plants come shortly thereafter and it's happy, happy, happy me!

Now that the Holland, Michigan Tulip Festival is over....I have a ton of Tulip bulbs available.
Of course they line the streets, and the town may frown on me digging them up....

Morning glories and moonflowers do really well in pots! And look really cool if you can find a cool shaped branch for them to twine up.
