HAHA Brazil Beat US 3-2, good job US, you got us all fooled.

Shows you who is the real talent.

if it took brazil to the last few minutes to put the USA away, it really doesn't say much about their talent, does it?

the USA certainly isn't known as a soccer powerhouse.

doesn't matter, US was leading 2-0 and US is known as a good soccer team, yet they were beaten by a third-world country. US are a bunch of loser, to lose so much momentum in the second half to any team is the definition of a loser, and I played soccer for many years and in many good teams, so I know a thing or two about Football.

I hate every country in the world, not only the US.

Both US and Brazil are good teams, but losing 3-2 after leading 2-0 and having 3 goals against you in the second half, they should be ashamed. US played like women in the second half, no offence.

I played high-school soccer and played outside high-school in a high soccer league, and I understand the mentality of the game better than most.

No doubt about the result. Brazil beat the US 3-2.

But hey, the US, being just the minnows in world soccer, gave the mighty Brazil a run for their money. They went down fighting. They never surrendered so meekly, as many around the world would have thought. Its just that the lack of experience got them down. I am all praise for this US soccer team. They have shown the world that they too can stand on the same pedastal as any Latin American or European team in world soccer.

The world, now has to take notice of the US soccer team. They are no longer push-overs. They are a force to be reckoned with for the future.

Congratulations to the US Soccer team!!!! You may have lost the Confederations Cup final, but you have won the hearts of so many soccer lovers and neutrals around the world.

You do have the soccer mentality. You are undoubtedly the guy who burns trash cans and turns over cars after matches. May I suggest lithium for what ails you?

Brazil has been a top 5 team in the world for over 20 years. They are a far better team than THE US, where great athletes flock to football and basketball. That said, the gap in talent is closing for sure. At least THE US has some players who can finish now, which it lacked for years.

NOTE: THE US did not even field its best team yesterday, due to injuries, red cards, et al. They will be even better when The World Cup rolls around. And, if not, those are my homies ... and they show great spirit. I'll be proud of them regardless. drinker

Remember Greece won the Euro in 04, and they are still a terrible team regardless.

Doing well in one tournament does not mean anything, doing well on multiple tournaments over years builds a ranking and a reputation.

Being proud of a team and claiming the team is suddenly considered a threat are completely different.

It is never, ever something to be ashamed about getting beat by Brazil.

Teams come back from being two goals down, to then win the game, all the time. It happens week in week out if you take any notice of any major league(or minor league, for that matter). Sometimes it can be attributed to a piss poor perfmance by the losing side, other times its more down to the great performance of the winning side. And sometimes it just happens. As the great Jimmy Greaves used to say 'its a funny old game'.

However you look at it, Brazil are by far a better team than the USA. I say the US did bloody well getting two goals in front in the first place. On a different day they might have held the lead and won.

The USA are not a great footballing nation yet, but you cant take it away from them that they did well this time.

At some point in the past playing the US was pretty much a guaranteed win for the top teams. Now no team can be complacent, and nothing is guaranteed against them. I know they have beaten England once or twice, for starters.

DO us all a favor, the next time you have a thought. Don't.

The US, ranked 14th in the world going into the Semi-Finals, beat Spain, who was at game time, the #1 team in the world. The US then turned around and played Brazil ranked 5th.

Anytime you can go into back to back games against the top team, and the #5 team in the world, and you score 4 goals, while giving up 3 is a great achievement. So what if all three goals came in the 2nd half against Brazil, None of those goals were given away, Brazil had to earn each and every one of the goals.

Since this tournament took place in the same country as the World Cup is taking place, it will be a huge advantage to the US. Playing in the same stadiums, traveling the same way they will travel during the Cup, staying in the same places.

Since the US is now turning around and Playing in the Gold Cup, playing against Spain and Brazil in the Confed Cup will only go to strengthen the US team for the Gold Cup, and the rest of the CONCACAF World Cup Qualifying.

I hope the USA does keep it up, as i'd like the sport to become properly respected over there.

Aye aye!! I'm glad USA finally can excel in soccer. Spain needed to have his horn broken off. Long overdue!

Meanwhile if someone feels like learning soccer, ring me up.

Doesnt look like anybody here played soccer in a good team but myself.

US really messed up, shows their weak mentality.

The second half they were honestly raped every second by Brazil.

The fact that US came so far makes it much more painful and dissapointing for them to lose.

Think about this analogy:

You are a great student in high-school, you apply to the best Universities and you only get your 2nd choice = dissapointment (=US).

Versus

You are a terrible student in high-school and you get into a bad college or not at all (which is predictable, not dissapointing).

See the difference there?
