I absolutely adore Elvis. My brother was even a bigger fan -- especially of his gospel music. He named his daughter Lisa Maria.
 The crossover of his music to other artists that perform his remakes is also very close to me. I DO NOT like country music but I love Dwight Yoakam and Willy Nelson’s versions of Elvis’ work. Honestly, I don’t know who was original between Willy and Elvis with some songs!  I bought the tribute DVD including his last concert in Hawaii. The clips, the history, the eccentricities, all made him who he was and still is to many. WHEN I get married, I want to use "I Can't Help Falling In Love With You" for my wedding song. I won’t even listen to it (again) until I meet the right guy!  *shhh* Yep, I am romantic but I won't admit it (necessarily)*

Elvis wasn't really the "King" till he did the Las Vegas comeback thing in the 70's. So I see him in the pot belly white jump suit with a cape and those bigazz 70's sunglasses .

SIDEBAR: Elvis outsold and outrecorded Michael Jackson by about 10:1 exaggerations aside...  it was actually 1 billion:750 million (4:3) elvis released 77 albums to michael jackson's 11. so per album michael was the better seller *end of nitpicking* |
