I wasnt aware OBama had killed any babies either,,but I actually thought his 'pet projects' through his career have been nuclear disarmament and environmental safety...but hey,, thats just his documented career history...

Bush never did anything to stop abortion either..You had 8 years. Bush only limited government funds to stem cell research which has Nothing to do with abortion, Obama merely undid it. Abortion's been legal for the last 40+ years so what does Obama have to do with it?

Its a crazy double standard. I read in another post how Cheney is upstanding because he supports gay rights even though he opposes the lifestyle. OBama upholds the womans right to choose even though he doesnt agree with it personally,,and somehow he doesnt get the same accolades....

Nothing!
The Supreme Court made abortion legal in the early 70s.

I don't believe he is saying he didn't vote at all. I believe he is saying that he didn't vote for Obama.

I however wasn't able to vote this election but I do speak my mind

perhaps you are correct but, i read "i don't vote"

too many people in this country pass on their right to vote. if you are going to leave it up to those of us who exercise this right then you just simply have to live with the outcome.

for the record, i can draw a distinction between i do not vote and i was unable to vote this time...especially when "this time" suggest a history of participating.

Oh I usually vote....kinda hard to when in the hospital. Stupid nurse wouldn't bring the voting booth to me like I asked laugh

As far as the "I don't vote" the rest of the sentence indicates not voting for the president

ok...I have a question regarding voting. People say that if you don't like any of the candidates...to write someone in instead of not voting. How does this really make a difference? wouldn't both be a sign of protest?

So let them be encouraged that we the people rule this gov.

We, put Obama in office. The first election in three that there was a clear pick. Free from controversy.

In America the majority rules. With record turnouts at the polls Obam won with a count of,
365 electoral votes to McCains 178.

Popular vote,
69,456,897 for Obama and
59,934,814 for McCain.
That's 52.9% to 45.7%

The Republicans have been resistant since day one, and standing in the way of America's recovery ever since.

Where, exactly, is this " recovery " going to come from??

Spending our way out of it??

That's like throwing money on a burning house.

Businesses are what's going to get us out of this. Not more government.

Actually since there was an economic meltdown one month prior to the election, I'm surprised that McCain only lost by 7% of the vote.

Anyways, I agree with the sentiment that since I didn't vote for him I'll abstain from the first question. As for whether he deserves the Nobel peace prize, I'd say no because he hasn't done anything you to deserve it. Could he? Sure, but that is like awarding a kid an "A" for the semester for showing up for the first week of class just because you didn't like the kids that were in the class the prior year. Setting the bar a little low, but that is just my opinion.

To understand where the recovery is going to come from one must understand what it entails.
But spending, started by the Bush Admin, is part of it.
Some of it is in recovery our honor and trust around the world. Obama's Nobel Prize is one sign this is at least started. If like he said one must consider we are only beginning.
Another will be the morale of our citizens, who after years of being lied to have discovered a giant mistrust for our leaders.
This too while just starting has drastically improved with Obama. Just compare the approval ratings between him and Bush when he left office.
Recovery is a complicated thing to define. No one expected it to be finished in one Presidential term. Maybe not even 2 or 4 terms.

Definitely, no one expected it to be done in 11 months.

We are on our way though, and despite the Republican efforts to the contrary, I believe we will prevail.

I couldn't be more proud of my vote for Obama.
He isn't perfect but he is trying and working hard!
