laugh laugh It doesn't matter..he wouldn't put the rug in the dryer either...all of ya, bite me. slaphead

If you had just used the cattle prod earlier we wouldn't be having this discussion.

If she left the rug on the floor it would probably be dry by now........smokin

Jeff and Tony..bite me hard!! laugh laugh

bigsmile did the rug dry yet..bigsmile

you can dry off before you get out of the shower but you still have wet feet..i know .. step on the rug outside of the tub..bigsmile

Exactly! Why would someone want to have to drag the rug off the tub everytime they wanted to take a shower. Makes no sense.....smokin

There is a saying.."Would you rather be right or happy?"
From raising 3 boys alone I can say that guys brains are very different.
I have always had a thing about pulling the shower curtain open and
draping the rug over the side of the tub after a shower. I have taught
this to all of my boys...adamantly at times, making them go back into
the bathroom to do this.
My 18 year old son has never grasped this..he never does it, and never
has. I have been told by others offering their advise.."make him do it,
he has to learn". Well a couple years ago I just gave up, I go in after
him and just do it.
He is a great kid, honor roll student, home at night, does dishes, still
kisses me hello and good bye. His brain just does not compute on why
these 2 things need to be done..
He is not intentionally doing this to piss me off, and so when I finally
realized that, I let the battle go. It matters not and it is one less
small thing to worry about.
After all this time, all the good things about him are more
important than the shower curtain and rug....do we sometimes hold onto
some silly battle just to prove a point, or just to win?

Growing up in a house full of women, I've learned to choose my battles wisely. laugh

laugh My parents divorced when I was eight and I have three sisters, so it was my mom, sisters, and we even had a female cat. The funny thing is I was the only one in the house that cat did not like.

I have a rug outside my shower and a towel hung on the shower rod when wet and folded over the edge of shower when dry. I use the towel to keep the rug from getting wet! Maybe I need help....

Lady, Glad you gave up so long ago...the big bathroom battle with my son was trying to get him to stop leaving his wet towel in a heap on the floor...

when I was a kid, my mom had a technique for that

if I left a wet towel in the bathroom floor

she would put it in my bed so when I turned back the covers to go to bed there was a wet musty towel there and I had to sleep on damp smelly sheets

she only had to do that two times and I never left a towel in the floor again

if I left dirty dishes in the kitchen she did the same thing with them.

Oh, the really silly part is that this boy has 2 towels, one for his body and one for his hair and he keeps them hung up in his room..would never put them on the floor...slaphead

we all have our little quirks I suppose, not worth arguing over.
