This week so far, I've had three men email me and ask me to call them right away. It happens fairly often. I don't really understand the need to have to talk on the phone immediately. If you don't like typing/emailing, why be here to begin with?

I'm guessing I'm not the only person this happens to. It just gets annoying, especially when these men get angry and don't want to email at all.

Girl you and I must be connected, today's email was exactly like your scenario. On top of that his writing was gruff to the point that had he spoken to me in person as he expressed via email, it would have scared me. I'd have thought he was Tarzan and me Jane  or a caveman who'd club me over the head and drag my arse away.

rofl

I know I'm not the most patient person ever, but if some of these guys had a little patience and could chat a little first, I'd be happy to talk on the phone. However, saying "Hi, call me!" in the first email is not going to work.

I get notes like that ALL the time..Its nuts..If I don't know you I will not call you or be giving you any of my contact into..I have had guys write me and leave phone numbers without even bothering to give me a name to ask for IF I was crzy enough to call that soon to begin with..I just figure they want phone sex or money..lol

They probably send the same message to as many women as they can in hopes of getting that 1 call they can brag about.

Myself I always prefer to know who's getting my number, to many crazy azz women out there. noway bigsmile

Women dont like to hear a sexy man voice? I'm just asking?

That's irrelevant. You're "sexy man voice" is someone else's "chalkboard scratching".

if nails on a chalkboard are what you hear... then that is not a "sexy man voice" now is it? There are forward people all over, you shouldnt be offended someone wants to talk to you. Even if its within the first day of chatting.

Meeting someone in person and getting a phone number than someone emailing you online and telling you to call after just saying hi.

the problem with giving out your phone number or IM info right away is that they could be crazy and a stalker.

I tell people to get to know others here first and then when they feel comfortable, go off site.

I think you missed what he meant. One woman could think your voice sounds sexy and the next could hate it.

I'm not offended by men who tell me to call them in the first email. I actually think it's kind of funny. Even more so when they get angry for not getting what they want. If a man is going to email women and tell them to call him right away, he shouldn't get offended when most say no.

Sexy is relative, some people consider a fat man sexy, I like 'em skinny. Some people prefer a deep, husky voice, some like them soft and silky. It's all about preferences, we all have them, whether we want to admit it or not. I'm offended by men wanting to talk to me everyday, so I take great pains to prevent it. So far it's working, yay me!!!!

A few years ago, I was on a site where it was fairly common practice for women to include their phone numbers in their first e-mail to me. I never called any of them -- I've learned the downside of rushing into things.

The one time I did take a leap of faith and talked to someone on the phone before I truly felt comfortable turned out awful. I will never do it again. I'm with you gals, if he asks that quick, something ain't right. Never let 'em smooth talk you into it......
