A friend from high school got in touch with me. We haven't talked in years, as she went one way, and I another. We'll probably drift away again, as there's nothing in common anymore, but it was interesting touching base.

She was the sort who would tear up her boyfriends items that he had received from previous girlfriends. Beheading a bear, burning cards, smashing statues, etc. Every guy she dated.

Why do some women do this? It's something that's never made sense to me.

sounds like she was jealous of the past gf for they gave those to him.. she sounded very insecure about herself as well of her relationships

i have several letters and valentine small teddy bear and tape of love songs this guy gave me yrs ago but yet i never showed those to anyone else for in reality it was non of there business...
the guy that gave me those we have recently have been in touch talking right now to see where things will go down the line he having some issue and he taking care of that right now

That's pretty much what I thought. And told her back then. I never would have the audacity to do that to a guy. That's their past, and if they want to keep it, that's fine.

I have to crack up at people that do this, I have seen a couple of friends go so far to cut out the ex from pictures.

I did date a guy once that was really bothered by some thing I had kept from my deceased husband to the point I felt he was obsessing. Needless to say the relationship didn't last long.

I have no clue why people will do this, in my mind everyone has a past if they didn't I am not sure I would be interested. Let them have it as I will have mine

Well, I've always thought it was some sort of destruction to property and that's not good. This sort of thing drives me nuts, and is along the same lines as people putting holes in their walls because they're pissed. I think the only reason the guys put up with it was because she was putting out. But it is rather sad.

Heck I still have all my pictures that were taking with ex's. What is the big deal as far as the kids dad my kids will want those pictures through the years. As far as old b/f no biggie they are in the past just a picture now nothing more nothing less.

Sorry no way will I throw things away just cause and ex bought them for me nor do I expect a guy I'm with to do so either unless they choose too...
