An Electronic Nicotine fit? is it computer induced?

Still Cigarettes are not all that and kissing a smoker is BLECH!sick

Now if it blows bubbles? That sounds like fun! Instead of polluting the environment with electronic smoke you pollute with soap bubbles! Good Clean Fun!

There are a variety of them and a variety of prices...first one I got for 50 bucks was a piece of junk. The one I have now cost a bill..but it's so much nicer, came with more stuff and I've been using it for almost a year now. Bargain!

I just googled it. Hey I am all for it if no smoke is being blown in my face. Just saw this from Health Canada and it made me chuckle.

On March 27, 2009, Health Canada issued an advisory against electronic cigarettes. The advisory stated "Although these electronic smoking products may be marketed as a safer alternative to conventional tobacco products and, in some cases, as an aid to quitting smoking, electronic smoking products may pose risks such as nicotine poisoning and addiction.

People who have never smoked cigarettes may stand the chance of becoming addicted to nicotine through smoking e-cigs, but if a smoker is using them to stop smoking cigarettes, they are already addicted. Since e-cigs come in high, medium and low nicotine levels, is easier to taper while withdrawing from nicotine. e-cigs have no carbon monoxide, tar, and toxins that are found from smoking cigarettes.

If a smoker gets the urge to smoke a cigarette, they can inhale from an e-cig instead, and this will prevent them from starting to smoke cigarettes again. e-cigs come in flavors that will keep the taste and smell of tobacco away, and cut down on the urge to smoke.

Something to consider about why there are bad reports on e-cigs, is that the pharmaceutical companies stand to lose a lot of money from nicotine patches, lozenges, gums, and prescription drugs that have not been effective for smokers to stop, but e-cigs have been very effective for them to stop.

I got one, use it on and off, so still smoke my normal rolling tobacco.
It does help to smoke less and can help you quit if you are ready for that.

Smoking is A) a physical addiction but B) also a habitual/mental thing. If you've been used to do something with your fingers and mouth for a long long time, it's difficult to not have that anymore. So the E-cig is a very good solution.
Nicotine is out of your body within 24-48 hours after your last cig. The habit/mental addiction takes a lot longer to overcome!

I got tobacco flavour for it with 0% nicotine and 1x 6% nicotine, both tobacco flavour. I find 6% too strong, so I add a tiny bit of that to the 0%. My rolling tobacco is just 0,9mg nicotine, so there's no reason to start smoking 6% or 12% or more.

Finding nice tasting liquid to smoke is another thing. All my friends got an e-cig, we tried all the ecigs, all had different liquid in it, mine tasted best. The difference in quite substantial, so if you get liquid you don't like, try another brand.

I understand they are expensive in the States? Here you can get a good one for €19, which is approx $25.
The only drawback is that there is no indication of battery life, it suddenly just stops working, and charging takes quite long. So if you rely on it and use it regularly, you'd need two or do without for a couple of hours till it's charged again.
ANyway, get one that doesn't need charging that often, think mine is 6 hrs of smoking. Some are only 4. (cheaper ones)

The other day I read that it may be worse than normal smoking, but won't that just be the tobacco industry trying to cause a panic cos they are losing billions?

e-cigs come in High, Medium, Low and No nicotine levels. When you felt yourself becoming addicted to using it, you should have switched to a lower nicotine level, then tapered to zero nicotine. You could have withdrawn from nicotine this way while not putting in carbon monoxide, tar, and the other toxins that happen from smoking cigarettes.

Hi. I started smoking when I was 16. I tried everything on the market. Gum, patches, or anything I tried, just plain didn't work. 2 years ago I heard about an electronic cigarette, so I bought one. at first I would alternate between the real cig and the e-cig. after about 2 weeks, by slowly substituting the e-cig. I no longer am addicted to tobacco! A lot cheaper also.
a little advice, stay away from the cheap vapor cigs (e-cig). Go to a good vapor store (check the BBB) I would stay in the $30-#50 range.
the juice (Nicotine)is about $15-$20 a bottle and it last me about a month per 50ml bottle!
Check the studies, smoking E cigs do not cause any kind of medical problem!
I can breathe now, my clothes don't stink and I don't have to go outside for a smoke break

When my mate was airplane traveling, he used that.
Going, he did it in the restroom, but returning, he
did it at his seat and no one noticed.

Some places banned e-cigs with no smoking whatsoever signs. So I left rehab.
