What pet peeve do you have about any random profile? The cut and paste? The terribly misspelled words? Something else? Do tell!!!!

For me it's those that don't know the difference in they're and their and there! They were taught to us in elementary school! Also, it's and its!!!

All that you mentioned is annoying.

I also dislike, “If you want to know ask”. sad2

Um … a profile is about summarizing ourselves for the reader to discern whether there is basic compatibility. slaphead

If someone doesn’t take the time for a bare minimum essay and/or fail to fill out the stats then I pass.

I’m not a dentist. I don’t want to pull teeth on a dating site to get a little info. laugh

I have to go with the "if you want to know anything, just ask." That usually goes along with a fairly blank profile. If they've written nothing, I have nothing to go on and am not going to contact them. Other than that, I'm not going to contact people with a negative profile, or those who whine about games and drama. Those who bring up games and drama in profiles tend to be the ones who have the most.

Angel, you are so right!!

I can't tell you how many guys I've met that claim to be 5.11 or 6.0 and they are shorter than me. Did they think I wouldn't notice they are really 5.8??? surprised

Hummmmmmmmm so your the Spelling Police

Honestly I read them but I don't let what is within a profile determine what I think about them.

But it does bother me when it seems their whole profile is bashing the opposite sex but yet they are looking for someone.... I just think people should make sure they are ready to start something with someone or at least be honest and say they are not ready....

That's basic education. There are no excuses for not knowing the difference. And there is spell check for those who can't spell.

spelling and grammar are one of the best ways to get an immediate read on a person. If they took their time and honestly tried to fill it out, maybe they might take time with their life in general. If they left it blank............get my drift?drinker

Ohhh I do get your drift just don't agree with it. I have known those that were totally book smart and could spell with the best of them. But when it came to common sense they fell face first on the floor..............

If one went solely off of ones writing where would that leave most Doctors???.........It would be a shame to by pass those for their spelling when their knowledge may far exceed beyond anything you could imagine.whoa

Spelling and grammar isn't an issue with me either. Nor or cliches. Just not a big deal for me. Some people just aren't spellers. Some are new to online and don't know what to say.

What I don't like is text speak. It hurts my head to figure out what is being saidohwell

Ohhhhhhhhh I do have to agree with that I want at least for them to try to spell the words. At least I do have a hint at what they meant and can normally figure it out.....

What I'd like to know is why those who know they're bad spellers don't take advantage of spell check? It would make sense, wouldn't it?

Not everyone knows there is a spell check or how to use it. My brother-in-law didn't know about it until I showed him.
