Would someone's credit rating effect how close you would get to them ? Or are you in it strictly for the love and companionship ?
Do you care wether or not they own a house, or even a car for that matter ? Inquiring minds want to know smokin

I personally don't care about someones financial situation, credit worthiness has nothing to do with how I view someone as a potential girl friend. I'd rather have someone who is broke but is a good person.

Bravo ! I actually perfer a poor woman, struggling like me, with simple needs and wants, but she has to love riding, and like you say, be a good person.

credit ratings effect everything else - our insurance, getting a job, buying just about anything, cell phones, going to the doctor... i wouldn't be surprised at all if someone thought it was necessary for a date too...sad2

But i've heard it said, that if you truely love someone, nothing matters, as long as your together. Maybe living in an old van, down by the river, would be a good test of love. Hmmm...

I would imagine in this economy a lot of people's credit suffered.

Some tests cannot be avoided. I know a guy who was run over by a Cop, and the settlement took years. His wife left him during the wait. Now he's worth about 8 million. Can you believe it ? She actually tried to come back after he got the settlement ? Apparently she wasn't convincing enough bigsmile

All I expect is for him to be able to support himself and have his own car, as it's tough to get around here without one.

I think if you go by someone's financial situation, you can be fooled. I know a dude who makes very good money, and yet due to the economy and other factors, his credit sucks. Would there be a chick who would not date him because his credit got screwed up? I find that shallow, but hey....whatever floats your boat. Personally, I don't care what a woman makes. She can make more than me, have great credit, but if she is a skank, then bye-bye. Just sayin...

Guys usually don't care about a girl's credit rating or what she does for a job (as I said before, a girl just has to be pretty in this world). Now that may change with age but the young peeps could care less. Women on the other hand, usually care about financial security so would be more concerned about a guy's credit rating.

I'm in between careers at the moment, but my last position intimidated a lot of men. I'd mention the word "producer" and they were like .. shocked shocked shocked shocked

I thought it was pretty funny because I was never enamored with it but it did bring clout when needed in the industry.

As to credit .. I agree with Johnny. This economy has ruined a lot of consumer's credit ratings. That would be silly to base a relationship on that. Even the IRS is giving 'grace' Geesh .. whoa

I have never cared much or even bothered to think about a guys credit rating and it has screwed me up and over repeatedly. I still won't check up on something like that, but I do hope the next relationship I get into is with someone mature enough to actually pay his bills and be able to prioritize such matters. The last guy never even bothered to open his bills let alone pay them but spent plenty on hunting and fishing gear and new tattoos.
