not in person... other than the traffic thing lol! but not from my friends.. or people in places where i have gone.
I do notice this.. people seem to jump to conclusions or assume things more often.. for instance.. someone on here will think im talking about them just because i said this.. or several may think that ... when i am not!  just an observation is all in general everywhere.. online offline etc.. so maybe you are right some do get angry... some just get fluffed... for no reason..

personally I have less patience than I used to since I have gotten older. Although since I've gotten older, I have learned to control my anger better

The biggest social pathology that I’ve noticed in the last 5-8 years is the condition of people avoiding responsibility for their actions – and then becoming defensive when they are held accountable. In other words – angry people that are always the victim.
Unfortunately, I’ve noticed it more in the younger generation; however, I have also witnessed this regarding some people my own age and older. My first inclination was to blame “new age” parenting wherein parents what to be the “friend” of their child and not take the less than glamorous role of disciplinarian. I can’t make that statement with any amount of certainty since I also see adults acting childish. I think self-entitlement is the reason we might be seeing anger around us. The causes are many, and yes, the economy is a big part of this issue. The transference from adult to child is a burgeoning problem. I believe we are raising kids to be dysfunctional adults - as most adults do not have a grip on their own dysfunction. |

May I also add...there's a trend within our age/era...(western societies and first/emerging nations) of parenting to ENABLE a sense of entitlement....(we are also afflicted with the same dis-ease, EXPECTING to have everything NOW) children, young people are products of their environments...they were not BORN with this mindset, it was created. Little people learn by imitation.... sad but true...and they grow into big people. I walk amongst MANY young people, and share my home with 4 of my own and their friends....they are ALL respectful, caring, compassionate and generous young folk, with a baseline developed through kindness. As to anger......hmmmm...nope....no different, same frustrations as our great grandparents struggled with...(early Depression pre-Second World War)... |

 I would plead the fifth...if I knew what it was!!!!!! Back to the OP....how hilarious was that demonstration at how quickly things can deteriorate, and re-active behaviours erupt? Believing one's own propaganda, be it personal or societal is possibly a catalyst for the appearance of anger bein more prevalent. Example....the mindset that a country is impervious to ANY form of threat, be it violence or economic...and then the reality...9/11...and the GEC...and now the HUUUGE global disaster of the oil spill... same with us aussie's...we are the cruisy fun loving, sunny everyday surfing nation...who had to grow up fast, so that we wouldn't sink into the same mire as our adoptive big brother... |
