I was sort of hoping to have found "The One" before now -- I never had a specific age-point in mind, 30 or 35 or anything like that....

Just figured it would have been "before now."

As I get older, I see more clearly that there is no real compatibility out there for me. And probably never was. I'm just better at recognizing those who fake it now.

My goal is to possibly be married but never, ever have kids in or around my life; just pets!

Other goals have been reached so I need to reach for more.

Yeah, I have no interest in kids, either. And I've been married once, and that was more than enough.

Other goals have been reached so I need to reach for more.

Other goals seem so much easier -- I wanted to be a published author, and now I've got 4 books out there, with a 5th coming out very soon.

Compared to finding a compatible partner, writing a book is easy....!!

I had about the same goal originally....here's the reality though:

Married at 23...divorced at 32...no kids
Married again at 32...divorced again at 41...no kids
Now it's never again on marriage and physically impossible on kids.

But...the bright side is I have an awesome job and an adorable little "fur baby" and I can practice having kids all I want!

I echo these sentiments.

I am on the last 6 units for my master's program and I will graduate in December. I am seriously thinking of continuing with my doctoral program. I also believe that task seems much easier than finding a compatible partner. laugh

I had a goal of getting married and having kids. I got married but that ended in divorce. Her daughter made me realize that kids are not for me. As for other tangible goals, I am drawing a blank. I am just wandering around aimlessly...

I hope I never have to stop the crazy partying just because I get married. I never want to settle down. surprised

I read in a lot of profiles that guys say they want to settle down and leave that behind them. I "LOL" because I imagine they will be boring if they change; they might think they have to in order to get married or become responsible in a different way.

I don’t want a guy in socks and sandals with shorts hiked up to their arm pits ready to make it a night on the town at Olive Garden. laugh

I figure if I meet the right guy, we will keep doing what we do but TOGETHER! Vegas baby! drinker

Yeah I was hoping to win the lottery last Friday. Never wanted kids or marriage; that would mean being responsible so not going to happen. laugh

I used to carry expectations, but I kept getting disappointed.

I quit doing that.
