Mistakes. History seems to repeat itself for me. Just as soon as I make some mistakes the Deja Vu dawns on me.

The cocaine before the Motley Crue - KISS show probably didn't help.
The Mochacinoes since, were just a substitute.

Just answering this will age me ... ohwell

The same things that aged, gave wisdom ... ... How bitterly paradoxical!

The single most aging event was my mother suddenly dying in my arms when I was but 11, w/ her 11 month son at my feet ... brokenheart

It is a day that ripped the fabric of my innocence and can never heal, an inner scream unending ...

... Esp. as I was immediately banished to my Father's home that seethed w/ hatred and dysfunction ...

Other things?

GREAT Loss (esp. that of my entire family, young ... At least I've intense supernatural contact and protection)

Betrayal

Hatred

Abandonment

Working by age 12, Living on my own by age 15

Kidnap/Rape/Assault

Leaving/Losing Europe

Violence

Traumatic, Crippling Injuries

Heartbreak

My Daughter's Abandonment

Single Parenting (esp w/out any family)

Theft

Being Stalked

Putting Someone in Prison

Isolation

War, Murder, Torture and Poverty

The Division of People and the World

EVIL

Time does not heal, it gives distance, wisdom, insight, perspective, radar and callouses born of killing pain!

Any person that counsels otherwise, lies to make themselves feel better ...

Now, you know why I so love to laugh and am drawn to all that is light, loving, good and goofy ...

Life IS beautiful - and precious, still ... flowerforyou

This is likely the most revealingly honest I've ever been here ... Yet I ... *Post Reply*

... flowerforyou ... Grace, how bizarre!!!

All good and perfect things really do come from above ... Must be ...

My husband passed away recently from pancreatic cancer...We were married for over 24 years so it's been a rough time for me...My son passed away a few years ago at 37....It's all taken a toll on me but I try to find joy in life anyway....I don't want to shrivel up and die myself...

Death of family members certainly takes a toll.

Problem children-particularly while they are still at home.

Dishonest people who think nothing of taking your financial security away from you-ie. conartists.

Worry about jobs, health, money and whatever difficulties come your way.

I try to look at the positive in any situation. It helps with all the above and makes life a little easier.

Other than the natural aging process, what do you think has added years onto your life?

" ... added years onto your life ... " Qué? There's stuff that can DO that ... ?

I haven't had time to worry about things like this 'cuz I've been too busy enjoying life while I'm on the right side of the dirt - and yeah, that includes the 'bad times'. In the long run, we play the cards we're dealt or we fold ... there's no in-between, and the only other option is leaving the game.
