As you can see with the previous verses, it reveals that they weren't suppose to make male idols or engage in prostitution with them. God did not instruct them to do those actions. And that God was dissapointed with them, saying i've bathed you, i've done so much for you, yet you used your fame to become a prostitute. Basically saying I've done so much for you and you repay me by living like this.

Nothing you wrote denies any of it, the context is what it is....it's simple...lose your penis and have crushed Mcnuggets and you're not allowed in "heaven". Why is that? Almost as bizarre as the things the bible says are the defenses of it.

So Jesus will punish people severely for not preaching his word? huh

No wonder you are so determined to preach these gospels, you fear that Jesus will beat you up if you refuse to do his work.

If Jesus was truly like the way you portray him to be then he's a monster totally unworthy of anyone's love and devotion as far as I'm concerned.

No truly righteous and loving God is going to threaten to severely punish his own disciples if they refuse to preach his word.

I need to convey a thought that occurred to me tonight.

When I was walking through my house I almost stepped on my cat who was laying in a dark hallway. I tripped trying to avoid stepping on the cat and nearly fell over myself.

I wasn't the slightest bit angry with the cat. He doesn't know any better. But I was concerned about the cat, for I did not want the cat to be hurt.

But that got me thinking. Here I am worrying about a cat who clearly doesn't care about me in the least. He doesn't even seem to like me much. laugh

I mean, he doesn't run from me, but he never comes to me when I call him, he basically ignores me unless he's hungry then he meows in a harsh voice wanting to know where his animal crackers are.

I always feed my cat and give him a nice hug and pet him. Even though he never does anything for me, nor does he show the slightest bit of affection toward me.

That got me to thinking. This God that you continually describe seems to hate everyone who refuses to love and obey him. You even have Jesus threatening his very own disciples with grave punishments if they fail to do his bidding.

Think about this for a minute.

Here I am having more compassion for a cat that your Jesus has for his own disciples. I expect nothing in return for the love and care that I offer my cat, yet your God get's totally peeved and all bent out of shape if someone isn't willing to bow down and worship him and do his bidding.

The God that you continually describe doesn't even know what love and compassion even means. By the way that you describe him he's a total jerk.

He's running around acting like he's the only thing that matters and he'll be totally angry with and resentful of anyone who doesn't jump when he speaks.

I don't like the so-called "God" that you continually preach about. As far as I can see, he's nowhere near as compassionate as I am. I show more compassion to a cat than he offers to humans.

You've taken Jesus and made a monster out of him as far as I can see. Perhaps you might be right. Perhaps it was actually the authors of the New Testament who turned him into a monster. Or maybe the man named Jesus truly was a monster. Who knows?

Even with people's disobediance down to even denying his existance our Father still provides for EVERYONE, thus showing them love. God hates not one person on earth. God hates NO ONE. And Jesus threatens no one. Even the earthly parents punish their children for disobediance. It's cause and effect, and Jesus tells us what causes make the effect of being punished. Again, it's not a threaten, it's a warning of the consequences that would come with such actions.

No, I've told you many times over repeatedly, I personally don't condone punishment as a means of mentoring. I think it's utterly stupid and totally ignorant. That's the kind of mentality and behavior I would expect a barroom drunkard to exhibit, not a God.

Punishment is stupid.

When teaching children responsibility you should teach them consequences for their actions. Not punishments. And this isn't just a mere difference in wording, I'm talking about a whole different mentality and concept altogether.

In fact, this is one of the very reasons why I reject the Old Testament as being utterly absurd. This so-called God that you worship deals out 'punishment', and asks for 'appeasements' and 'atonement' for "sins". IMHO, that's utterly stupid, and a very good reason to reject the Bible as being the word of any supposedly all-wise being.

If I had children and they did something wrong, rather than having them do yet another wrong (like killing an animal to appease me with a blood sacrifice) I would have them do something CONSTRUCTIVE AND POSITIVE like community service, for example. I also would make it perfectly clear that this is not a "punishment" at all, but rather a consequence of their "wrong-doing". And I would even EXPLAIN precisely why the thing they did wrong was indeed wrong.

I would never just say, "Because I say so". That's an utterly lame and irresponsible act of parenting as well, IMHO.

Children should be educated, not ordered around like mindless robots. You're raising human beings here, not training mindless soldiers to go into battle and blindly follow your commands without question.

So no, I don't agree with your philosophy at all. In fact, if the Bible is what taught you to have these ignorant and insane ideas then this is all the more reason why the book should be exposed for what it truly is - the opinions of an ignorant human society!

You take all these horrible ignorant ideas and spew them around like as if they have some divine value. They don't. They're ignorant concepts that have been clung to by society far too long!

We really need to move on from these ancient dark age immoral ideas.


God is everything that matters. It's our father that has given us life and everything we receive in this life. Without our father we would never had even existed. We aren't our own, we belong to God, so yeah if he says jump you do so. We aren't just "children" of God, we are God's CREATION.


Just because you create something doesn't absolve you from the responsibility of being respectful toward it. You act like just because God is the creator he can do anything he wants and no "moral judgments" can be passed on him. But that's not so.

Just because a God creates something that doesn't give it the right to act like a demon over it.



Jesus hates no one and never is mean or nasty to anyone. Jesus continuously shows love and provides for EVERYONE. Did you eat today? Did you drink today? Did you breath today? Who do you think allowed for such to happen and provided it to your availability? Jesus my friend.

It's ironic, isn't it, that the Fundies of another recent era wanted to ban books like 'The Catcher in the Rye' and 'The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn' in favor of teaching the book that contained _these_ quotes?

Nothing you wrote denies any of it, the context is what it is....it's simple...lose your penis and have crushed Mcnuggets and you're not allowed in "heaven". Why is that? Almost as bizarre as the things the bible says are the defenses of it.

This is Jesus speaking specifically to his disciples of when they were sent into Israel to preach. Telling them do not fear these people that you are about to meet, for they can only kill the body and can not kill the soul..... And not listening to what Jesus has told us to do is a sin, and the only reward for sin is death. So he said this to give them strength to stay strong and not stop preaching because of fear, for the punishment would be much more severe then anything these people could have done to the disciples.

There is no fear in love, if you love something/someone, you trust them thus relieving you of fear. Goes along with Matthew 10:28. Do what the father has instructed us to do out of love, not fear. Do it with a sincere heart and not under direst.

So we can gather from these verses, to not fear ANYTHING. But do what we have been instructed out of love, and while doing these things which we were instructed don't fear what man might do. Just keep steadfast in the lord and love the lord thy God.

perhaps they haven't heard or choose to dismiss the belief that God is supposedly ominpresent and therefore present everywhere

which is why a believer that choose not to go to church to learn is no different than a child not going to school to learn

which is why Jesus spoke in parables because he claim that the people would not understand his message anyway because they lacked the knowledge to understand

Well, I've got news for you. You can't "Teach" anyone anything by killing them permanently. whoa








In this instance we are taught before the consequence comes. The punishment itself isn't for teaching us to be obedient, the punishment is for not being obedient in the first place. You have been taught on how to be obedient, it is your choice, your decision to listen or be disobedient.

And who ever said Jesus was going to deny his disciples eternal life and cast them into the hell fire?

the sad thing is that suckers cause they feel the need to follow the herd cause others or family will look down on them won't stand up and say hey i'd rather watch pregame show before football starts than sit here in these pews and hear a bunch of people who can't sing then hear a bunch of your interpretation of the folk lore.speaking of testicles, grow some and stand up cause you only live once why abide by a fictional characters laws too
