what in the bible displays why it's either a book of fables, fact, fakery, forklore or fantasy

when presenting a passage or whatever to present your point of view as being "fact"..please include an explanation that doesn't sound delusional along with proof that it is fact...if not then that places it into the category of fantasy

It is a mix of all of the above. There is two basic truths in it but the rest is "Pageantry" designed to instill and stir emotional responses in the reader.

It may have been inspired by god but it was still written by man. The Old Testimate is the History of Judea. The new Testimate is the History of Jesus. Unfortunately the source material is kept a closely guarded secret the Catholic Church will not allow anyone else to touch.

The bible is a mix of fable, parable, history, and distortions galore made to fit the image a particular organization's dogma who wrote it. Claiming it to be the "ONE TRUTH" in itself is a lie. There is no one truth other than man kind is innately evil, not good!

And what proof do you have to support as such Arcamedees? Weather you want to accept the evidence for such or not is up to you, but we have scrolls upon scrolls to support our side of it claiming that these things took place. So again what evidence do you have of it not being true? Something can't be untrue just for the simple fact you won't accept it as such. You have to have something to back up your beliefs. So again what proof do you have that these things didn't happen?

if the Bible is a mixture of everything, then that means that the Bible contains half-truths and therefore wasn't intented to be a book of facts...it becomes a book of fables ....

but the thread asks which of that in the bible such as passages or stories is regarded as being fact fables fantasy or fakery..

for example ...
some claim That Jesus is God but how can that be if during the crucifixion Jesus was calling out to God "My God, My God, why hath thou forsaken me" which is an indication that Jesus is not God and that any story or passage that someone may refer to Jesus as being God can only be classified as being "fakery" ..unless there are passages in the bible during the time of the crucifixion that explains otherwise

Jesus said the father and I are one. Same as my dad and i are one. Just like you and your dad is one as well. That is why it's called being born again. Once you are born again you and the father are one as well.

But that predisposes one chooses to be one with the Father. When you take perception into account what one person sees in the written word can translate to something different person to person. Like I said the bible is a mix of truth and half truth. Take into consideration that the Catholic Church burned the Great Library of Alexandria, all that history was lost and a lot of it could have correlated claims made in the bible. That one loss historically constitutes the greatest loss to man kind yet!

Also consider the source of the Bible as in the hand that wrote it. Like I said there is real truth hidden within the bible but anything wrought by the hand of man is fundamentally flawed!

So all history in the world is flawed? Everything that has ever been written down is flawed? History, Science... EVERYTHING? Because you can't pick and choose what is flawed and all that is hand written by a person.

EXACTLY! You have heard the Phrase, "History is written by winners?" That is a fact. Look at how rulers in the past would paint defeat as victory as long as they won overall and managed to beat the other guy. Even then horrid acts of barbarism would be painted as "Astounding Victory" by the ones committing the atrocities. People have these fantasies of Rome being some Utopian society but in reality Rome started off benevolent and wound up becoming glutted on its glory and ended in the throes of trying to recapture the dignity it used to have but Rome by then had become barbarous, murderous, and self fulfilling. They slaughtered so many people in the games and in gladiatorial spectacle all to feed Rome's need for entertainment.

Now let us digress to the early history of the Holy Roman Catholic Church. If I remember around 400 AD a Norse village was attacked by Catholic troops and they slaughtered everyone. That was an act of "Attacking heathens and pagans." That led to 200 years of churches being sacked by Vikings until England turned Anglican and paid tribute to end the attacks in England. Eventually the Catholic church wound up "Buying forgiveness" from them but the Norse eventually became Catholic too to some extent. But in the mean time the Vikings HANDED the Catholic Church its azz repeatedly. Still, the history book only gloss over that tidbit. Even the Moors hired Vikings as mercenaries against the Catholic Church.

Islam blatantly tries to cover up history by building on other religions' holy sites.

The fact is sometimes it is hard to divine the real truth from information at hand. Sometimes people have to hunt the far corners of the earth to find the truth and then when they do they might not be believed.

Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.

Cowboy...if you and your "dad" are two seperate individuals as you explain in your post then wouldn't that be an indication that you are not your "dad" ...which is why your post displays why Jesus is not God and any claims that he is would be "Fakery"

isn't it possible that the Catholic Church burned The Great Library because it was trying to hide the fact that there wasn't any evidence to support the claims in the bible

Never claimed Jesus was the father. Was showing what was infered in him saying "the father and I are one". Was explaining, my dad and I are one, you and your dad are one ect ect. In no way is Jesus the father. And this right here straight up shows that.

Heck, I would have loved to asked Jesus if he knew what he was doing would lead to the deaths of millions in his name and seen if he would go through with his suicide.

Frankly Jesus could have saved himself with a word on three occasions. Pontious Pilate wanted nothing to do with Jesus's condemnation hence him "washing his hands of the whole thing." If Jesus would have spoken up he could have walked...
