I'm still walking several times a week. Lost 5 more pounds since the beginning of the year. 45 more to go.

Congratulations. Just make sure you don't diet to lose it quickly but eat healthier. I learned the secret is to lose it slowly and it stays off.

What do you do for exercise, how often, how intense?

Do you do it for stress relief or to stay in shape (or both)?

What type of work-out do you like and how intense???

Love it/Hate it?

any other comments....

Hell Yea! I workout 3 times a week. I favor intesitity over duration. I do 30 min per session and all out. I like superseting a Lowerbody movement(Squat or Deadlift) with a upper back(pull up or Row) and chest(push ups) or shoulder(military press). I love it!

I do it for stress relief and to stay in shape.

Did water cardio twice this week (Monday & today). Yoga on Tuesday & last week tried an intro guided meditation & energy therapy. It was so relaxing and really helped me focus while getting ready for my committee meeting. I gave an excellent presentation and made my PI very proud:) YAY happy bigsmile shades

Finished my 6 week Yoga with guided meditation series and next week will begin kundalini yoga classes...Yay!

Still hittin' water cardio twice a week & weather is good enough to jog the dogs on the sandbar a few days a week instead of just down the road! About to trade one water workout day for training time on my gelding so we can make some CTRs later this year, but posting a trot for an hour or so is good cardio too!

LOVIN' it!

Got a HR monitor so I can see how much cardio I get outta working my horses! Yes, for the "riding horses is not exercise" folks! Riding takes much more physical effort than most realize & I plan to see where my heartrate is after 20-30 minutes of posting a trot to see how it compares to my water cardio class.

I recently got a gym membership and I go for about an hour Monday - Friday and do strength training. I do yoga on Saturday and walk to do errands in town when it's not snowing and freezing out anyway. I miss my dog, I walked more with her.

tao...my dogs make me walk more too! I get to hike across campus 3 days/wk for class, seminar, and the lab I assist teaching (occasionally twice in one day depending on other meetings). The dogs wanna go every evening no matter if I feel like it or not!

aja...it's still exercise, but I imagine it sucks during bad weather.

Had a great ride on Scout and while trotting, cooling down, un-tacking, grooming out, & feeding ponies my heart rate stayed 70-80% max so GREAT cardio workout for at least 40mins!!!

What's a hyperextension? When I think of a hyperextension, I usually think of something I do to my knee that hurts really bad.

Hmmm i hate exercise, I swim with the kids and dance with them, but dont do anything that pushes my body, i just am not interested in feeling any pain at all the next day.
If i feel like exercise I sit here and exercise my fingers on the keyboard.

Swimming & dancing are great exercise Josie! I like to push/challenge myself, but try not to over-do things. To me though the most enjoyable exercises are those like swimming, hiking, horse back riding, etc and everything is more fun with family or friends to share the experience with!
