I would say that his point is that the Democrats and Republicans have their heads so far up the poop chute that they can see their own hearts pumping. I agree.

it tells me that only 2.6% of this all voluntary military supports any of the remaining parties (Dems, Ind. etc). I guess they believe in our mission in Iraq and what the Presidents doing..since he can't be re-elected.

It would be interestng to see the support the military is giving to the Democratic Candidates also, does anyone have those figures?

First of all forge you have to look at the site/ The spin factor?
Then you have to think what party would even try to use such figures for political gain.
A more accurate figure would be how many troops support the war in Iraq.
In that the category, only 41% of military personnel and their families support the war in Iraq!
Then you have to add those totals up, I did, 50,482.
Then you must find the total number of military personnel in all branches. Im not going to, but I believe its close to a million, then divide the numbers and I believe you will find that redwines percentages are pretty accurate, 2.6%.
Not too good!

See, they figure most people wont do that, but they are wrong. All the people living in this country are not blind sheep. Following the Republicans around for the odor of the droppings they leave behind, and believeing every figure they put out as fact, because a Republican watchdog group released it.

I did look for the figures you mentioned. I found 7 republican sites listing the same figures, and 0 sites releaseing the same type of statistics for the democrats.

That tells me that it is a similar tactic like bringing up 9-11, and the threat of a terrorist attck, used by the republicans everytime the polls show most Americans dont believe their bull.

Im a Ron Paul supporter...and since he is not considered a
serious candidate it is interesting that he continues to do well
in polls and debates...

that is why I posted this...just sharing information so we
can all make an informed choice in the next election
and maybe get this country back on track...

if I had info on the Dems I would put it out there..

This is scary any way I look at it!

USA Today/Gallup Poll. July 6-8, 2007. N=916 registered voters nationwide. MoE 4.

.

"Thinking now about the general election for president, which will be held in November 2008 -- Suppose the election were being held today. If Hillary Clinton were the Democratic Party's candidate, Rudy Giuliani were the Republican Party's candidate, and Michael Bloomberg were an independent candidate, who would you vote for: Hillary Clinton, the Democrat, Rudy Giuliani, the Republican, or Michael Bloomberg, the independent?" If unsure: "As of today, do you lean more toward Clinton, the Democrat, Giuliani, the Republican, or Bloomberg, the independent?" Names rotated

.
Rudy Giuliani (R)-39%
Hillary Clinton (D)-45%
Michael Bloomberg (I)-12%
Unsure-1%

Fanta46,

Weekend polls always favor democrats. While they are indoors complaining about Bush and making tin foil hats for the week ahead, Republicans are out enjoying life. For that reason, more Democrats respond. Many of the Republicans who answer their phone, hang up on the pollster. But a Democrat considers talking "doing something about the problem" so they will jibber-jabber on and on until the pollster finally hangs up on them.

If Republicans are "out enjoying life", why are they always around to "hang up on the pollster"? When I'm out enjoying life, the LAST thing with me is a phone.

Fanta, I just asked a simple question, does anyone know what percentage of the military support the Democratic Candidates and once again you have attempted to cloud the issue with a smoke screen.

"In that the category, only 41% of military personnel and their families support the war in Iraq! Then you have to add those totals up, I did, 50,482."

if 50,482 people constitute 41% of the military personnel and their families then by my figures there are only 123,128.8 military people total. Seems your math is a little fuzzy. If the numbers would happen to support Hillary, Obama or any other Democrat you can bet your left testicle that they would be all over the mainstream media yelling their heads off.

Once again a simple question what percentage of the military support each individual Democratic Candidate. I am willing to bet that you never directly answer this question with names and percentages and if by some slim chance you do, the numbers will be very small indeed.

Fanta..sorry bud..but you do have your figures all screwed up...Just the fact that the military recruits an average of 8,000 new soldiers every month...hmmmm lets see..all voluntary Military....unless they are all blind, deaf and dumb...they must know there is a war going on...but they are going to join military when they don't support the war??...find that a stretch bud...but then again also aside from the left proganda that says Americans don't support the war..new AP poll out today says...51% support what we are doing in Iraq...64% say we should wait until Gen Patreaus releases his report in Sept before commiting to any troop withdrawl...and 75% believe Al Qaida will take over country if we leave...so I guess the public isn't as blind as the Dems would believedrinker drinker drinker
