The Monkees Reunion Tour, 1985. I was 12 years old and The Monkees (along with Herman's Hermits, Grass Roots and a couple other bands) played the Mobile Civic Center. My parents nurtured my music variety. At the time, I was into 80's music, glam metal, heavy metal, rap. But I also loved classic rock, country, 50's music and 70's disco. So, watching a concert of bands that I didn't know (exception being The Monkees, as I knew their music) wasn't beyond me and I really liked the show. Not ashamed to admit this as my first show as it led me to concert-itis. Lol. Now, my all time favorite show is KISS. Saw them on their reunion tour in 2000 and they kicked azz. Ted Nugent opened for them and that man is freaking awesome live.

The Monkees were a great band, also loved their TV show and movie- Head.....The New Monkees on the other hand....

They were awesome live. Davey Jones was running all over the stage. And the ladies there were going mad crazy for him. Lol.

Very first...Luther Vandross (late 80’s). Booked early and actually had 4th row seats but was sick so didn't get to go.

I was a die hard Luther fan and god know when he would have been back in the UK...I bought another 2 tickets for later on that week and was so far back (nose bleed seats I think they're called), that all I saw of him was this blob in a sequinned jacket. No features, no nothing but he sounded great. Me and my sister sneaked to as close as we could get and sung til our voices gave out.

Luther goes down as my most expensive concert to date.
