being the hipster that i am,
i like to claim that i don't follow trends.
lies!
i simply believe the world is finally selling stuff that i like.
all the old people clothes tickle my fancy.
at what age do you think people stop following trends?
do you still keep up with what's new and hip?
although defining what's new is a bit of conundrum considering so much stuff comes back around.
for example the off the shoulder shirts and leggings.
o.O
and if you tell me that you've never followed any fashion trends,
I WILL CUT YOU.
lollllllll i don't care about a trend i can start a new trend hahaha but i do buy some name brand clothes ,or shoes cause i like them on me ,not because someone else wearing them lollllll cause i saw cool cheap priced cotton shirts, i like too or tank tops ,but shoes i like them strong thats why name brands ,jeans i have sooo many different names brand and none brand loll but i look for a good fit and 1s that a gal can pinch my butt in or grab it hahaha and i don't think theres a age when people like good things :) as long as your clean and look good then thats cool i even wear ripped Levi shorts with threads and a tank top to beach in summer cause it feels good with my shades on thats another thing got so many different sunglasses too :)flowerforyou

I wear something that is in style only if it looks good on me. An example is pedal pushers and dropped waist skirts. They make me look fat so no I wouldn't wear them. When bell bottom jeans first came out; yes I did wear them as I looked good in them. So, yes and no about following fashion trends.

Oh Gawd! I am waiting for the day that parachute pants that show my stuff become hip again!

hehehehehe

Back on topic...I often comment on this subject in actual life.

I was always a punk....never looking like everyone else.

Had a bull ring through my cheek...had to stop when everyone and thier dog started getting piercings. (grandma's and 8th graders got em now)

Wore huge pants with a trench coat with a giant Anarchy symbol on the back and a dog collar....now, you find huge pants everywhere and Anarchy is mainstream.

I find it ironic...today to blatently be non-conformist, I have to wear a silk shirt with a tie and slacks with my hi tops. Cause guys today put very little effort into it.

The last time I wore something trendy it was a wool poodle skirt, I never followed trends, always wore classic styles and what would fit me most flatteringly. Like these low riders??? Oh Heck NO!!, they make you look like a muffin top...Gloria Vanderbilt makes a capri pants with a wee bit of spandex in it, JUST for ME!!!LOL. I am not advertising my flaws, just because someone dictates fashion, Oh NO!

I guess you could say that I do follow trends, to an extent. When I was younger (Late teens to mid 20's), in my neck of the woods, Wranglers and boots with button up shirts were the thing, the heavier starched the better. When I found myself single again, in my early thirties, it took me only a few times out to realize that I stood out from the crowd dressed like that, but not in a good way. So, not so much because it was trendy, but because, why spend the money at the dry cleaners every week if you don't have to. Weird though, we would have been laughed at head we gone out to the bar dressed the way everyone dressed now, around here at least.
