I would hazard to guess that the partners, of those honest folks on here, were not so honest. JMO

Could be that they are in an open relationship? or it could be that they mean generally they are honest when in a relationship? Or it could just be that they dunno how to change what they are looking for?!

ohwell I'm having slight trouble understanding your question. Sorry. Something about dishonest people being on dating sites? Can you truly know they are being dishonest until it gets to the point where you find out? I'm really not that sure. Paranoia can cause someone to think another may be lying. Some really ARE lying. Not sure there's a surefire way to test that until the lie shows.

Well some might be like I was and when I had a partner I did not go on dating sites. Was no reason to; or so I thought, until I actually found out some of the people you get to know are not just for dating but actually friends and shared interests.

All dating sites are not JUST for dating or started out as dating sites but was a side line to keep the site going. This site was at one time recommended as a great site for artists and musicians. Still is.

I know another that has a huge community of People with Disabilities.

Another that started out as a dating site and now is more job seekers than anything.

Doesn't hurt to take a close look at what people say for discrepencies but generally it will be kind of harsh if you are always thinking in the absolute literal terms.

Example if I say I "like" someone or "love" that can have a range of definitions that goes every where from mild to absolute.

IMHO if a person actually has a partner it is only decent to clearly post that in your profile, some actually do, and the few that I know who do are very clear about what limits that entails. Someone doesn't you can block them in a second.

If I find a partner it is unlikely that I would leave this site, and folks I have known a decade, but you can bet they would know and he would have my password; probably be setting right beside me watching the tube while I post which is generally what I do now.

"What's so great about the truth? Try lying for a change, it's the currency of the world."

Love that movie!

God hates a lying tongue. Of course the evil world teaches to lie. Learn to love the truth, and be in God's favour.

This topic reminds me of those paranoid types, that go looking through their lovers mobile phone messages without permission. I'm not saying that the OP does. There's a fine line between lies and looking for proof. I bet if half of the people who searched their lovers inbox to confirm their suspicion, didn't look through that phone in the first place, they may still be together to this very day. Instead of split up. Paranoia can be your own worst enemy. All I'm saying is, if you go looking for trouble, you usually find it. Never be doubtful before you know the truth. Otherwise you're just setting yourself up for a downfall. If a lover is innocent, and you're assumptions made them leave you, then quite frankly it's a no-brainer as to why they left.
