It can be done...It just takes an awful lot of very small pieces to fit together with a very strong adhesive.

this works well, my wife and I had a complete "fire and ice" relationship, both deeply in love, but always
brought the worst out in each other.

so she moved back to her country and we remained married, its been so much better, we never
fight anymore, her gratitude goes a lot further, when I give her money, we tell each other "I love you"
she's still her regular self in many aspects, very sexual & open, talking juring sex, so she phones me up!,
that's the only difference.

Well, if you have already lost your mind, then what difference does it make?

I think it makes you know more of the other person as there is no rush.

Not good, not bad. Is it possible...yes. I've done it several times. Just know going in that most of the time it is a lot of time and emotional expenditure for too little return. Every once in a while though, it just works!

Also meet as soon as possible...no matter what you think, it is different in real life no matter how honest you are online and on the phone. It sucks to fall in love with someone from a distance only to discover that it doesn't work quite the way you thought it would in person.

I can't say, because I've never been in one. It depends how much they want each other. I think it'd be best to ask them first if they are willing to be in a long-distance thing. You can't get angry if someone doesn't want to be in one. Everyone has a choice. It depends who is willing to go through that. One of my friends is in one, but her ldr guy gets angry at her, just because she goes to nightclubs. So I'm really aware of how it can go. indifferent

Ahhh... what to say what to say...

They can be wonderful and enlightening. Beautiful and mysterious. They also come with expectations both implicit and explicit. Mine ended in friendship and in heartache. I wouldn't trade my expereinces with them for anything else though, for the one was with one of the most beautiful people I've ever met, arguably the most.

Another one of your hairbrained schemes eh Steve? What was it the last time; a fling? All I can say to you my lad is that you should just hand yourself in to the cops because it's not fair to try to get some poor unsuspecting girl to give you a place to hide and going on the run will only make it worse for you when they do catch up with you.

It can be done, but not something to enter in to lightly in my opinion, the expense alone in travelling to see one another regularly, and the further the distance the greater the costs. If all goes well one of you must relocate so you can be together at some point in the future, so you need to ask yourself is it possible for you to relocate if it is impossible for them.
