I'm a little baffled. I've seen profiles by women in their late 40's, 47 or 48. And it says to contact them you must be 35 to 49. So you will date a man 13 years younger, but not 2 years older than you? It's just not what I expected.

Don't you know that 50 is the age at which a man's warranty expires? Guys have a warranty? Dammmmm, I knew I should have read the fine print!!!  Many (not all) of the men's profiles are the same way! They will date up to 5 years younger than they are! Go figure, heh? Don't give up - there are some wonderful people on here!

I'm not in my late 40s, but I'm into men around my age or a bit younger. Some prefer older men. We all have different preferences.

I think, its pretty sad that people are more focused on age than on the person's character and good qualities. As long as one has the desired mental and physical chemistry with a potential partner, who cares about the number? it's all media b.s. lets all get down to earth....shall we?

When I was dating; guys in their 50s would state that they wouldn't date any woman over 30. So there is a 20 year difference. To each his/her own. |

It is better you know right up front before you get involved in a conversation and then let down. Different strokes for different folks!! If it was easy to find someone, you wouldn't be here online looking.

I understand preferences. But it just struck me as odd. These women have children. "honey, meet my boyfriend. You may have known him. He was a senior when you were a freshman." Just seems weird to me. But especially when you won't look at a guy 2 years older. I'm not offended. Just think it's odd.
Heck, the woman that most intrigues me here, is 4 years older than me give or take. There were a couple of key things in her profile, and one in particular that most people wouldn't even pick up on. Hopefully she will respond, but it says she hasn't been here in over a month. So that could mean years, for that matter. I'll give it a little time before I contact someone else. But I digress. |

I wasn't my ex's preference, or was she mine, but we remained together 7 yrs, I met a girl on the net and dated for a while, I was 47, she was 26, but very mature for her age, I don't normally date younger woman, but we seemed to have so much in common, I was the one to break it off, kind of regret it now, never had met a woman so much like myself.

I am 51. I prefer to date guys six years younger to six years older than myself. Any more age difference than that they tend to hate my 80's metal bands and have different values. Just my humble opinion.....
