Seriously, I'm sorry to read about your hard luck, but business decisions like that don't depend on health insurance. Even if your employer really did specify that you were laid off because of Obamacare, it's probably just a scapegoat for their mishandling of affairs or other issues. Possibly even due to offshoring, which would have more to do with the wages demanded by the workers and the business laws of your state.

If I'm wrong and you're really smarter than that, you should just get a new job. I have a few friends who were security guards and the ones that could all went on to become police officers. There's a pretty big demand for police officers, now, if you can pass POST requirements.
