So I take it you have added him as a friend? If he does hang with you long enough, he may come to understand the ways and wills of women..lol..

Nope; I didn't add him as a friend. He was asking about nice looking women. I am not nice looking.

Nope; I don't believe in compliments as I know when men give them; they are not sincere. I always tell guys to cut the crap as I am not buying into it. I am just me and if men don't like how I look; I really don't give a rat's *ss. I have a good healthy life to live and it sure as hell isn't reliant on phony compliments.

I know I am not Brad Pitt. Maybe his dad. I get requests from 30 somethings from thousands of miles away. I have grandchildren almost that age. I always think "SCAM". Unfortunately most of the women I have met my age seem so much older. I want someone to be my equal and be able to keep up or push me. (not in a wheelchair)

Show me a woman who does not like getting compliments, phony or real, and I can show you a guy who cannot get going even with eternal aid...And you must be the exception to the rule....just saying..

I am a Tomboy and also served in the military. Men like getting compliments too but a person would have to be totally stupid to accept a compliment that they know is not true. If I get compliments on my military drill, or my musical abilities, or my boss saying I am doing a good job training new people, that is totally different as I know in my mind that I am good at doing these things but hollow compliments about one's looks is pure crap. I have acne scars and my face is discoloured so I know when a man says I look pretty; he is lying. I am not pretty but I am intelligent enough to know when someone is lying to me.

Good point about scammers as they too will send phony compliments to their would be victims.

Why is it a nice looking 50's women always go after younger men?

being that everyone is 'nice looking' to someone.. not ALL women chase after younger men.. personally I prefer someone in my age group + or - 5 years (although open to a wider age group for friendship).. there's a lot more common ground to talk about because lets face it... when you hit 50, MOST don't act like teenagers as we know there's more to life and we're not looking to simply "Hook Up".. we're looking to "grow old together".. literally..

admittedly in the past, I have dated much younger.. and why I've come to my current preferences!

Well, as others have stated, it's the younger men who message us. I have gotten messages from men between the ages of 18-70+. I usually respond to the very young ones with a thank you for a compliment and to tell them I am far too old to be talking with them. I've never had any issues with men my age and I am open to them.... It seems though, the 50+ guys who are balding with big belly's are all looking for a "slim woman between the ages of 18-35". What's up with that? They probably couldn't get them when they were that age, why do they think they will attract them now? Just my two cents worth...

You are a good looking guy, but most women look at the profile. We want to read a little about you. If you have one of those "I'll tell you later" profiles, we skip on by. I figure men who don't fill it out are just looking and not really wanting to connect with anyone. Take a few minutes and create a profile...it might work, if you want it to.

I totally agree with this ^^^

I "pass" on any profile that's blank.. no matter how 'cute' he might be.. if he doesn't have enough substance to write a few words.. NEXT!

That is incredibly incorrect. Only players go for younger guys.Serious seekers are attracted to their own age group.

I prefer them closer to my age - more commonalities and I believe more of an understanding due to coming from the same generation.
More of the younger ones contact me though - youngest being 19, and I'm sure it has nothing to do with wanting a life time commitment of marriage, as that is what I am here for.
