what the heck?

has anyone else seen it? I was kind of underwhelmed

the pros

the players were sexy
the sexual scenery was vivid and appealing

the cons

empty script
nonsensical portrayal of domination and submission
absolutely confusing ending

I haven't seen it yet but the trailer reminds me of why I liked it the first time I saw it. "9 and a Half Weeks" (1986) anyone? That starred Kim Basinger and Mickey Rourke. Hollywood needs to find a new premise. But I am going by the movie's trailer. I loved seeing Dakota Johnson with her mom, Melanie Griffith, at the Oscars. They looked so beautiful and endearing together. Mom is hotter. Lol

All I saw was the trailer on Youtube. I was curious and just wanted to see what the buzz is about. I think that the movie is about a girl who goes and interviews a really rich billionaire. She is awed by his attractiveness and his fortune. She will do anything to make him happy, including put up with his creepy psychotic obsessions in order to rule him and his fortunes. Maybe there is more in the movie, but I don't get it.

Most women fantasizing about Christian Grey, does tell a lot though. I don't think that I could sit through an hour and a half to two hours of it. I definitely don't want to be like Mr. Grey.

I haven't read the books nor seen the movie. But from what I've understood, the book ends weird as well. Probably cos it's a sequel?

^^^ You can say the same for celebrities and rock stars. They get away with questionable behavior as being "cool" or "eccentric" when everyone else doing similar acts would be labeled certifiable.
